Resumo: This paper presents results of research about the topic: "Hope as a theological and pedagogical praxis: a dialogue between J??rgen Moltmann and Paulo Freire". This research attempts to answer to the following problem: Is there a relationship between Freire and Moltmann???s ideas about hope that can bring contributions to education? The following two hypotheses will guide the completed work: a) there are strong relationships between Freire and Moltmann???s ideas regarding the topic of hope, b) these relationships point to significant contributions to education. The research aimed to point out commonalities and possible differences between the ideas of Paulo Freire and J??rgen Moltmann in relation to the theme of hope and to search for contributions to education from the research. The theme of hope is discussed very little as a subject in educational literature and even less with practicing educators, hence it is one of the reasons this research was completed, as well as the fact that hope is one of the fundamental aspects of the human being, taking into consideration that without hope being instilled, people can become discouraged, or dismayed and hopeless. This path leads to the near paralysis of human action hindering or even preventing the historical quest for a realization of humanity. Hopeless societies condemn themselves to historical immobility which, as will be seen in the two thinkers, is the very negation of the human condition. The theme of hope, or more precisely active hope, is a theme that cannot be lacking in speeches or in educational practices.

La investigaci??n pretende responder el siguiente problema: Hay relaciones entre las ideas de Freire y Moltmann respecto a la esperanza que puedan contribuir a la educaci??n? Dos hip??tesis orientan el trabajo: a) existen fuertes relaciones entre las ideas de Freire y Moltmann con respecto al tema de la esperanza, b) estas relaciones contribuyen significat??vamente en la educaci??n. La investigaci??n tiene como objetivo se??alar los aspectos comunes y las posibles diferencias entre las ideas de Paulo Freire y J??rgen Moltmann en relaci??n a la esperanza y a partir de esto su respectiva contribuci??n a la educaci??n. El tema de la esperanza es un tema poco explorado en la literatura educativa y menos a??n en la pr??ctica de los educadores, por este motivo se configura como una de las razones del estudio. De igual manera es una raz??n para este estudio el hecho de que la esperanza es uno de los aspectos fundamentales del ser humano, ya que sin ella, la gente puede tomar el camino del desaliento, la consternaci??n y la desesperanza. Este camino conduce a la par??lisis de la acci??n humana, al mismo tiempo que obstaculiza o incluso impide la b??squeda hist??rica de larealizaci??n del ser humano. Sociedades sin esperanza se condenan a s?? mismos a la inmovilidad hist??rica, que como se ver?? en los dos pensadores, es la negaci??n misma de la condici??n humana. El tema de la esperanza, m??s precisamente de la esperanza activa, es un tema que no puede faltar ni en los discursos ni en las pr??cticas educativas.Esta disserta????o apresenta resultados de pesquisa realizada sobre o tema: ???A esperan??a como pr??xis teol??gico-pedag??gica: um di??logo entre J??rgen Moltmann e Paulo Freire???. Na referida pesquisa procurou-se responder ao seguinte problema: H?? rela????es entre as ideias de Freire e de Moltmann sobre a esperan??a que podem trazer contribui????es para a educa????o? Duas hip??teses orientaram o trabalho desenvolvido: a) h?? rela????es fortes entre as ideias de Freire e de Moltmann no que tange ?? categoria esperan??a, b) essas rela????es apontam para contribui????es significativas para a educa????o. A pesquisa teve como objetivos apontar pontos em comum e eventuais diferen??as entre as ideias de Paulo Freire e de J??rgen Moltmann em rela????o ao tema da esperan??a e buscar indica????es, a partir da??, para a educa????o. O tema da esperan??a ?? um tema pouco explorado na literatura educacional e, menos ainda, na pr??tica dos educadores, da?? uma das justificativas do estudo realizado, bem como o fato de a esperan??a ser um dos aspectos fundamentais do ser humano, visto que, sem sua alimenta????o, as pessoas podem caminhar para o desalento, para o des??nimo e para a desesperan??a. Este caminho leva ?? quase paralisia da a????o humana dificultando, ou mesmo impedindo a busca hist??rica pela realiza????o da humanidade dos humanos.
