Resumo: The object of this research is collaborative work in schools. Based on this principle, we sought to answer the following questions: What is the management team's understanding of collaborative work in schools? Is it possible to develop collaborative work in schools? Can the work developed in schools be considered collaborative? If so, how is it configured? Once the questions were formulated, the general objective was to investigate what the management team of public schools in the São Paulo municipal education system thinks about collaborative work in that environment. The specific objective was to identify elements of collaborative work in the performance of the management team and how they understand it in schools. Once the objectives were established, the study was developed based on a qualitative approach. The instruments adopted were: a survey of theses and dissertations on the subject of collaborative work in schools, as well as documents governing the school system of the city of São Paulo; a questionnaire and a focus group as procedures for collecting information, in order to understand the opinions of the subjects on the subject. The research universe was composed of elementary schools and childhood education in the São Paulo municipal system. The subjects, in turn, were members of the management team (principal, assistant principal, and pedagogical coordinator) working in the municipal school system of São Paulo, represented by 17 professionals who answered the questionnaire and seven who participated in the focus group. From a theoretical point of view, the research is based mainly on Ball (2005), Fullan and Hargreaves (2001), and Lima (2002). As for the results, it can be stated that there are no collaborative elements in the work of managers in the schools managed by the participants of this study. Consequently, collaborative work is not a reality in the daily practice of the management team of the São Paulo municipal network, since the Municipal Education Network (RME) does not provide for it. Therefore, it does not train or support the management team; on the contrary, it overloads them with tasks and demands, such as supervision control, external evaluations, and guidelines, revealing the lack of commitment of the network to education professionals.

Partiendo de este princípio, tratamos de responder a las siguientes preguntas: ¿Qué entienden los directivos por trabajo colaborativo en la escuela? ¿Es posible desarrollar trabajo colaborativo en la escuela? ¿Puede considerarse colaborativo el trabajo desarrollado en la escuela? En caso afirmativo, ¿de qué manera está configurado? Una vez formuladas las preguntas, se definió como objetivo general investigar lo que el equipo directivo de las escuelas públicas de la red municipal de enseñanza de San Paulo piensa sobre el trabajo colaborativo en ese ambiente. Como objetivo específico, se definió identificar elementos del trabajo colaborativo en la actuación del equipo directivo y cómo lo entienden en la escuela. Una vez establecidos los objetivos, el estudio se desarrolló con base en un abordaje cualitativo. Los instrumentos adoptados fueron: encuestas de tesis y disertaciones que abordan el tema sobre el trabajo colaborativo en la escuela, así como documentos que rigen la red de enseñanza de la ciudad de San Paulo; cuestionario y grupo focal como procedimiento de recopilación de información, con el fin de conocer la opinión de los sujetos sobre el tema. De manera general de la investigación, se seleccionaron las escuelas primarias e infantiles de la red municipal de San Paulo. Los sujetos, a su vez, son miembros del trío directivo (director, subdirector y coordinador pedagógico), que trabajan en la red municipal de enseñanza de San Paulo, representados por 17 profesionales que respondieron al cuestionario y siete que participaron en el grupo focal. Desde el punto de vista teórico, la investigación se basa principalmente en Ball (2005), Fullan y Hargreaves (2001) y Lima (2002). Sobre los resultados, se puede afirmar que, en las escuelas dirigidas por los participantes de este estudio, no existen elementos colaborativos en el trabajo de los gestores. En consecuencia, el trabajo colaborativo no es una realidad en la práctica diaria del equipo directivo de la red municipal de San Paulo, ya que la Red Municipal de Educación (RME) no lo presume. Por lo tanto, no forma ni subvenciona al trío gestor; por el contrario, lo sobrecarga de tareas y exigencias, como control de supervisión, evaluaciones externas y directrices, evidenciando el desentendimiento de la red para los profesionales de la educación.Esta pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo o trabalho colaborativo na escola. Partindo desse princípio, buscou-se responder às seguintes indagações: O que os gestores entendem por trabalho colaborativo na escola? É possível desenvolver o trabalho colaborativo na escola? O trabalho que se desenvolve na escola pode ser considerado colaborativo? Se sim, de que modo ele se configura? Formulados os questionamentos, delimitou-se, como objetivo geral, investigar o que pensa a equipe gestora das escolas públicas da rede municipal de ensino de São Paulo sobre o trabalho colaborativo naquele ambiente. Como objetivo específico, definiu-se identificar elementos do trabalho colaborativo na atuação da equipe gestora e modo como ela o compreende na escola. Estabelecidos os objetivos, o estudo desenvolveu-se com base em uma abordagem qualitativa. Os instrumentos adotados foram: levantamento de teses e dissertações que tratam do tema trabalho colaborativo na escola, bem como de documentos que regem a rede de ensino do município de São Paulo; questionário e grupo focal como procedimento de coleta de informações, visando a conhecer a opinião dos sujeitos sobre o assunto. Como universo da pesquisa, selecionaram-se escolas de ensino fundamental e infantil da rede municipal de São Paulo. Os sujeitos, por sua vez, são membros pertencentes ao trio gestor (diretor, assistente de diretor e coordenador pedagógico) atuante na rede de ensino municipal de São Paulo, representados por 17 profissionais que responderam ao questionário e sete que participaram do grupo focal. Do ponto de vista teórico, a pesquisa se fundamenta sobretudo em Ball (2005), Fullan e Hargreaves (2001) e Lima (2002). Acerca dos resultados, pode-se afirmar que, nas escolas gestadas pelas participantes do presente estudo, não há elementos colaborativos no trabalho dos gestores. Consequentemente, o trabalho colaborativo não é uma realidade no fazer cotidiano da equipe gestora da rede municipal de São Paulo, uma vez que a Rede Municipal de Educação (RME) não o conjectura.
