Resumo: This research had the objective of analyzing the intention to buy walking bicycles with a frame of recycled plastic materials using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TCP). A survey was carried out with the application of a structured online questionnaire to analyze the influence of attitudes, subjective norms and perception of control over the behavior in the intention to purchase the bikes in question. The variables that influence the intention to buy a bicycle with recycled plastic frame were confirmed with TCP. The results pointed out the positive relation between the constructs of TCP and the intention to purchase bicycles with recycled plastic frames. However, when simulating bicycle choices with price changes, a single construct, the perception of control over behavior exerted influence on the choice. In view of these findings, the importance of consumer awareness about environmental issues is highlighted.

Foi realizado um levantamento com aplicação de questionário estruturado on-line para analisar a influência de atitudes, normas subjetivas e percepção de controle sobre o comportamento na intenção de compra das bicicletas em questão. As variáveis que influenciam na intenção de compra de uma bicicleta com quadro de materiais plásticos reciclados, foram confirmadas junto a TCP. Os resultados apontaram a relação positiva entre os construtos da TCP e a intenção de compra de bicicletas com quadros de materiais plásticos reciclados. Entretanto, ao simular escolhas de bicicletas com variação nos preços, um único construto, a percepção de controle sobre o comportamento exerceu influência na escolha.
