Resumo: Oral Lichen planus (OLP) is a relatively common chronic mucocutaneous inflammatory disease, characterized by three clinical aspects, called reticular, Atrophic and erosive. In LPO treatment Default Is the use of topical and systemic corticosteroids, which are associated with clinical improvement of the lesion and decreased pain. As an alternative to the treatment of OLP. Some studies have evaluated the efficacy of the FBM in reducing the size of the lesion and pain intensity. Thus, this study aims to compare the efficacy of Laser treatment at low intensity LBI (660nm) in relation to corticosteroid therapy in oral lichen planus. Patients with diagnosis of OLP were distributed in two group: in control grup( corticosteroid treatment) and experimental group( treatment with FBM).Pacients to be evaluated in the D0, D7, D14, D21, D30 and D60. Clinical evaluation included clinical characteristic and size of the lesion, quality of life questionnaire, the scores of the resolution of the injury and recurrence. In clinical scores, no statistically significant no statistically difference was observed between the corticoid and FBM groups. A descriptive analysis of the data was performed, both in the Corticoid group and in the FBM group were able to decrease the functional aspects (Chewing, swallowing, fluid intake and taste). Most lesions of both the Corticoid group and the FBM group presented complete resolution in the D30. The efficacy of the treatment observed That there was a slight improvement in the OLP lesions after treatment in the Corticoid group in 1/8 patients, moderate and significant improvement in 3 patients and still, 1 patient did not respond to treatment. In the FBM group, mild and moderate improvement was observed in 1 and 6 patients, respectively, and one patient had total resolution of the disease and 2 patients did not respond to treatment. At the beginning And at the end of treatment, as well as 30 days after the end of treatment No statistically significant difference was observed in relation To the total score of the OHIP-14 questionnaire between the corticoid and FBM groups. No recurrence of OLP lesions was observed in patients in the Corticoid group And in the Group FBM.

Não foi observada recorrência das lesões de LPO nos pacientes do grupo Corticóide e no grupo FBM.Submitted by Nadir Basilio (nadirsb@uninove.br) on 2021-10-22T22:48:11Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Elza Padilha Ferri.pdf: 4653975 bytes, checksum: db26dae01c5a4200dff765579d80b7ba (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-10-22T22:48:11Z (GMT).
