Resumo: This dissertation seeks to understand how everyday life inspires poetry and how it materializes in poems. At the same time it shows that poetry is present daily in life regardless of the written text. For this were chosen some poems written by modern Brazilian poets and the thesis was divided into themes that surround the everyday life of all people, like: poetry in the kitchen, poetry in the garden and poetry in photography. But, before that it is necessary to distinguish between poem, poetry and being poetic, and also to understand how the reading of this literary genre can awaken the poetic mind in the reader. On that lead, several relevant topics will be discussed during the reading review such as the simplicity in the writing of some poets which can raise questions about language and social issues. After, in chapter three, how "ecopoetry" can connect man to his essence and the nature; And, lastly, how photography interferes with poetry and how the other arts have influenced photography. All these questioning have focus on bringing an overview of how poetry is intrinsic in several areas of an individual's coexistence, raising awareness to look at the poetry that surround them, to reflect about the function of the aesthetic text in people's lives and, finally, encourage the reading of poems

Ao mesmo tempo em que demonstra que a poesia está presente no cotidiano, independentemente do texto escrito. Para isso, foram escolhidos alguns poemas de poetas brasileiros modernos e dividida a tese em temáticas que rodeiam o dia a dia de todas as pessoas, quais sejam: a poesia na cozinha, a poesia no jardim e a poesia na fotografia. Antes disso, porém, é necessário diferenciar poema, poesia e fazer poético, além de entender como a leitura desse gênero literário pode despertar a consciência poética no leitor. Nessa direção, ao fazer a crítica literária, serão debatidos diversos temas relevantes, como a simplicidade na escrita de alguns poetas que pode suscitar questionamentos em torno da linguagem e de questões sociais. Depois, no capítulo três, como a ecopoesia pode conectar o homem à sua essência e à natureza; E, por último, como a fotografia interfere na poesia e como as demais artes influenciam a fotografia.
