To emphasize the historical and social facts in Catalan, city that appeared in the ends of the century XVIII, in the south of state of Goiás, being obligatory passage of flags and caravans, it used hand of slave work, it was created at the village a Fraternity, that will create and still to maintain the black cultural ethos, no more as mark of reference of a race, but of na entire city. Who was, and which is the importance of the Fraternity of Our Lady of Rosário, in the development of the fesasts of the congadas, and in the black king's coronation, that it happens in the month of October in Catalan. To demonstrate Catalan's cultural and social development and the participation that the blacks had in this context using their feasts of black saints.
