The inclusion of the deaf in the daily actions of religious life and its catechization is one of the great challenges of the Catholic Church in Brazil. The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of inclusion of the deaf in the Catholic Church, based on the work of the Pastoral do Deaf of the city of Goianésia-GO in the Diocese of Uruaçu-GO. Identify the political-religious inclusion proposals adopted by Catholic religious leaders in the Diocese of Uruaçu-GO and investigate the effective participation of the deaf in the churches, as well as the strategies adopted by the Catholic movements to promote the deaf and sacred links. We also question how deaf people feel in the Church, excluded or included. The methodology used was a cross - sectional descriptive research with a temporal cut in the year 2018, together with a bibliographical survey of published texts about the theme, addressing three categories that will guide this reflection: religion, inclusion and Pastoral do Deaf. This theoretical contribution allows us to approach the reflections elaborated within the university, with the sociocultural practices of the deaf within the Churches. For a better data collection, an empirical study was conducted through a questionnaire of twenty open and closed questions, with three groups: five Pastoral do Deaf agents from the city of Goianésia-GO, five deaf people who attend the Sacred Heart Parish of Jesus of the city of Goianésia-GO and five Catholic religious leaders: Diocesan Bishop of Uruaçu-GO, Diocesan Pastoral Coordinator, Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Goianésia-GO (2017) According to Father Deaf born in Brazil - Our Lady of Tenderness of Curitiba-PR, Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Goianésia-GO (2018), responsible for works aimed at the inclusion of the deaf. Therefore after the field research, it was possible to perceive that in a gradual way, the inclusion of the deaf in the religious community of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Goianésia-GO is taking place.
