Resumo: This is a final year dissertation entitled The Feast of Epiphany Festival in Quirinópolis: Place of Memory 1918-2010. Presented to the Masters course at PUC- Pontifical Catholic University of Goias This is a work of cultural history whose object of investigation Memory is the place of the Feast Epiphany Festival and objective perceive the changes in the practices and cultural representations of this region due to its economic and social development. As a model empirical analysis of this region was chosen Stone Lisa, which show the richness of cultural practices and religious still "untouched" by the scientific work in Quirinópolis. The work aims to understand Epiphany Festival through their performance characteristics and symbols, as its elements remain in memory and their possible changes. Moreover, this work also intends to examine the party studied as significant instrument that exceeded the limits of past, thus confirming the hypothesis that the party is a place of memory demarcated from the practices and representations inherent culture marked by popular religiosity. It displays images by imageticas using photography as an element of support maintained by oral traditions. This research claims from literature always keeping the perspective of the key concepts memory, performance and daily and covers mainly various aspects of popular culture, specifically in With respect to the practice of popular religiosity as expression of that culture.

Apresentada ao curso de Mestrado da PUC-Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás. Trata-se de um trabalho de História Cultural cujo objeto de investigação é o lugar de memória da Festa Folia de Reis e objetiva perceber as mudanças ocorridas nas práticas e representações culturais dessa região em decorrência do seu desenvolvimento econômico e social. Como modelo empírico desta análise foi escolhida a região da Pedra Lisa, a qual evidencia a riqueza das práticas culturais e religiosas ainda intocadas pelo trabalho científico em Quirinópolis. O trabalho almeja compreender a Folia de Reis por meio de suas características de performance e símbolos, como seus elementos permanecem na memória e suas possíveis mudanças. Por outro lado, este trabalho pretende, ainda, examinar a festa estudada como significativo instrumento que ultrapassou os limites do passado, assim confirmando a hipótese de que a festa é um lugar de memória demarcado a partir das práticas e representações inerentes a cultura marcada pela religiosidade popular. Apresenta imagens imagéticas por meio da fotografia como elemento de sustentação das tradições mantidas pela oralidade. Esta pesquisa se sustenta a partir de levantamento bibliográfico conservando sempre a perspectiva dos conceitos principais de memória, performance e cotidiano e abarca, sobretudo, diversos aspectos da cultura popular, especificamente no que tange à prática da religiosidade popular enquanto expressão dessa cultura.Made available in DSpace on 2016-08-10T10:35:08Z (GMT).
