The research is mainly focused on the investigation of changes in the urban part of the municipality of Rio Verde , arising from the implementation of agribusiness , transforming the city into a center for regional development of the most important in the country , a situation that occurred from the 1970s . Rio Verde in 2011 reached the fourth place in the collection of taxes , the main city of Goiás Southwest and one of the municipalities of greater prominence on the national scene due to agribusiness , having excelled in that year (2011 ) as the city that contributed most to the Brazilian GDP due to areas of planting soybeans and corn , and breeding pigs , chickens , etc. . The municipality over the last forty years had numerous projects and favorable situations to achieve the current level , which can be highlighted four key players : 1 - changing American farmers , creating a colony in the late 1960s , 2 - POLOCENTRO the project ; 3 - the creation of ME ; 4 - the installation of a plant for the city of Perdigao , who has about 250 new businesses emerge around them . In this research we tried to show how much influence the expansion of agribusiness and urban transformation of the city . To demonstrate the features to get the reality of now this research was composed as follows: a reading and a brief account of its historical trajectory , showing the stages through which the council passed until the condition of the city , was noted as forming the urban space with their transformations due to the explosion of urban expansion of the city from the 1970s . Thus we attempted to answer the question : what happened in the city was the development or growth?
