It is a study of social representation developed in order to describe the experience of women with spinal cord injury (SCI) about sexuality and reproduction in these conditions. The study included 11 women affected by TRM, those with ties in the Association of Rio Verde Handicap (ADEFIRV) in the city of Rio Verde, Goiás. Data collection was conducted with the use of socio-cultural questionnaire and free evocations, besides carrying out semi-structured interview. From the analysis of the results, it was found that the meanings attributed by the participants to the experience of sexuality and reproduction after the TRM are related to specific concerns and life experience with the installed limitations. The results point to the diversity of feelings that involve various dimensions of sexuality and reproduction, which go beyond the biological perspective and, in particular, beyond the likely limitations generated by the TRM in the way of being a woman. The dendrogram obtained has two axles and five subcategories. Axis I deals with matters pertaining to living in this condition, being contemplated by four classes, respectively: everyday life, sexuality and reproduction, difficulties and coping. In the axis II, which deals with the subjective aspects, this is the class called perceptions. axis I classes revealed, among other things, symbolisms associated with sex, reproduction, affective relationships before and after the TRM and relations with the body. Add subsidies that could be used as support to enhance and strengthen the professional support in coping with TRM. Health professionals and the woman come when they are willing to design an individualized care based on active listening of the people served. The results show that the experience of sexuality of women affected by TRM is marked by mixed feelings. While demonstrating insecurity manifest sexually, also refer to the fear of abandonment and loneliness, possibly due to the acceptance of conflict of the new image, which in most cases was characterized by self bias. Sexuality and reproduction specifically in women has significant weight in society. Thus, the rehabilitation of women with TRM continues as a theme to be studied and addressed in health education activities, and even in the continuing education of health professionals, with a view to improving the quality of lives of these women.
