The main purpose for this research was to understand as the dictionary produces and propagates speech. In this in case , it was looked to argue and to put in check the possibility of transparency of the directions that appear transposed in the dictionary, recognizing that its renovation and transformation shows its historicity , as well as the insertion of a lexicographical subject in determined socio-historical context . The study it prioritized to explain the way as the dictionaries are structuralized and what they reveal of the society and culture in which lexicographical subject are immersed involved in its production. It was based mainly on the assumption that the dictionary is constituted as a discourse of speech. To clarify the understanding that was adopted for the speech in this work, it presents a theoretical review of authors who bring the enunciation to the center of the discussion and put the subject as significant in the process of meaning construction, such as E. Benveniste, M. Bakhtin, Pêcheux, M. Foucault and D. Maingueneau . Accordingly, we took the lexicographical enunciate from entries democracy, woman, with and love in dictionaries Pequeno Dicionário Brasileiro de Língua Portuguesa, published in 1964, Aurélio Século XXI, published in 1999 and Dicionário Houaiss da Língua Portuguesa, published in 2001, as complexes speeches, analyzing the relationship between meaning and historicity. In addition, an analysis was made of the prefaces and editorial notes of Aurélio Século XXI, seeking to highlight the image that your enunciators present to do dictionary, as well as understanding that they have of language and consultant of dictionary. In the analytical process of this research, we observed that how each lexicographical enunciate constructs meanings is different, in order that the different conditions of production gain meaning in the historicity of say, which permit to think that subjects and meanings can move in history. Thus, we sought to contribute to the extension of studies of the dictionary, leading to reflections about discursive lexicography.
