The relationship between history and literature can be considered one of the first comparisons of different language systems in the Western world.In Classical Poetics, Aristotle introduces us that the poet's task is not to say what actually happened, but what is possible and could have occurred according to likelihood and reality. Due to the intense and qualified discussions already made about the lines between these two discourses, the present exposition does not only intend to address this point, but also to add the appropriation and transcreation character of the historical discourse by the literary. This articulation is the keynote of several authors of the Brazilian Literature, among them, Bernardo Élis. We highlight in the dissertation the soap opera "Apenas um violão", 1984. Published more than half a century after the foundation stone that gave rise to Goiania, apart from the easy compliments that the endeavor of Pedro Ludovico, founder of the new city, always received, Élis's narrative focuses on the decay faced by the City of Goiás, which at that time ceased to be the fulfillment of the dreams of the brazillans from Goiás who lived there to become an empty city. The former capital, in losing its privileged state, went to ruin: buildings were taken by mouses, stately mansions were abandoned, entire streets were depopulated. Moreover, being a book with a memorial character, it can be inferred that in the configuration of this literary discourse, the author himself projected himself into the protagonist of the narrative, inserting his memories about this historical event, kept for decades and transformed into form and content. In an omniscient, linear, mimetic way, taking advantage of the colloquial language of Goiás as well as the natural landscape, with realistic description. In this sense, the transcreation process analyzed in this research moves from history, through the memory filter, to be aesthetically rethought
