This text analyzes by the psychoanalytic approach the work of Teresa D´Ávila or Teresa by Jesus, focusing specially, but not solely, on The Book of Life. In the context of XVI century, the author wrote about innumerable theme like prayer, obedience, work, mission, death, life, diseases, religion, however, we will make a recort to talk about the categories of the love, the erotism and the mystic, by the psychoanalytic bias interpretation, specially founded in the theories of Freud and Lacan, and others authors studied in the course of Science of Religion. The themes erotism and mystic are in the category of language studies, as a commonplace in which mysticism is a form of speech, a sacred marriage, a secret hidden between both: God and “one other”, in a extatic experience, a place of silence, sharing and merging between the real, the symbolic and the imaginary.
