Resumo: Among all the elements of the narrative, space is the one that has been least analyzed by critics, who often consider it as an idea to fill in the plot. We will demonstrate that, in Carmo Bernardes's novel, there is a translation from ecological aspects to artistic ones, as Ramiro relates to them, valuing their conservation, identifying with them and establishing a symbiotic relationship. The present work investigates the Romanesque Space as a transcreated element from an ecocritical vision in Jurubatuba. This transcreation process, similar to an impressionist painting, puts the novel in question and its author as leaders of the environmental debate in Brazilian literature produced in Goiás. Jurubatuba is the first novel by Carmo Bernardes, published in 1972. This is the story of Ramiro Antunes Martins de Novaes. Narrator-protagonist, who unhurriedly takes us to know his story - which, if only transformed into information, would lose all its essence. Demonstraremos que, no romance de Carmo Bernardes, há uma tradução dos aspectos ecológicos aos artísticos, pois Ramiro se relaciona com eles prezando pela sua conservação, identificando-se com eles e estabelecendo uma relação simbiótica. O presente trabalho perquire o Espaço Romanesco como elemento transcriado a partir de uma visão ecocrítica em Jurubatuba. Esse processo de transcriação, similar a um quadro impressionista, coloca o romance em questão e seu autor como próceres do debate ambiental na literatura brasileira produzida em Goiás. Jurubatuba é o primeiro romance de Carmo Bernardes, publicado em 1972. Trata-se da história de Ramiro Antunes Martins de Novaes. Narrador-protagonista, que sem pressa nos leva a conhecer sua história - que transformada apenas em informação perderia toda a sua essência.
