Resumo: This research considered that, very often, the implementation of the BIM 4D Construction Information Modeling (BIM) did not delivery the expected modeling results, mainly, due to lack of knowledge of the modeling team about the BIM model that was being implemented. Therefore, this research had as main point the application of the BIM 4D system through Excel, MS Project, Revit, Navisworks and Synchro, focused on the planning and control of construction works, focusing on the knowledge process. The methodological approach adopted in this research was qualitative integrated with the phenomenological analysis. The evaluation of the constructed model was made in a large-scale case study of a high standard residential building in Goiânia-GO. The research indicated that, through the analysis of the modeling results and final considerations, it was possible to detect the advantages and disadvantages of the software Navisworks and Synchro. It was also possible to present the challenges that the organizational construction can face while BIM becomes the domain of development, implementation and utilization, on the work scheduling. Additionally, the analysis of the modeling results and final considerations also demonstrated that it is not the lack of knowledge that makes implantation of the system difficult, but rather the cultural issues.

Diante disto, este trabalho teve como objetivo principal aplicar o sistema BIM 4D por meio das ferramentas Excel, MS Project, Revit, Navisworks e Synchro, voltados para o planejamento e controle de obras da construção civil, com foco no processo de conhecimento. A abordagem metodológica adotada na pesquisa foi qualitativa integrada com a análise fenomenológica. A avaliação do modelo foi feita em um estudo de caso em obra de grande porte do setor de edificações residencial alto padrão em Goiânia-GO.
