The present dissertation developed in the Professional Master s in Management of the Cultural Patrimony approaches the alterations of the landscape in the city of Luziânia, Goiás, as impacted element to it Rego do Saia Velha, canal opened for the slaves in the period of 1768 and 1770. The city of Luziânia has its history related with the cycle of the other in the state of Goiás, and has as main representative elements of this period the Church Ours Lady of the Rosary and the House of Culture. I water it of the Saia Velha also belongs to this universe, being a cultural patrimony not only of the city of Luziânia, as also of the state of Goiás. In the development of the works it was verified mainly that I water it meets destroyed in some segments and preserved total partially preserved in others, for the urban, agricultural and industrial expansion of the city. It was verified, also, that the current municipal managing plan does not possess a zoning that aims at the preservation of this patrimony. To aggravate the situation, the population that lives in the neighborhoods of it I water not manifest any concern with the preservation of I water it. The presented examples and the information gotten in field evidence that the entropic action if develops without any fiscalization on the part of the competent agencies, with waters it being impacted in the most diverse ways, intercepted for the openings of secondary roads, filled with earth for urbanization ends, as track of Motocross and, total destroyed for the glide soil of Br. 040. As I water it is a cultural patrimony of the city gives credit that the solution for its preservation depends on the force of the legislation. In this context, Rego of the Saia Velha deserves a bigger attention for the Institute of National the Historic site and Artistic, having to be inserted in a plan of management of the patrimonies natural and cultural. The present work considers making of Rego of the Saia Velha part of a unit of conservation of the patrimonies natural and cultural, obeying the criteria of the IBAMA and the IPHAN. For the impacted areas already, where the canal was not destroyed, suggest that the canal is recouped. For the segments where the canal was destroyed the presented measure is the search of historical registers, as photographs, engravings etc.
