This dissertation intends to show the performance of the Universal Church in Goiânia. I try to trace, starting from the ritual of curse break at Fridays, the logic of the speeches of its members for the explanation on the phenomenon of the diabolic possession. In this way, i analyze time, space, the individual and the memory as references for the explanation of this religious denomination your ethos and vision of world. I look for in this research to interpret the speeches of its members in what it plays the possession cults and the exorcism above all to confront against the afro-brazilian religion, denying as source of constant devil´s action of yours day by day. Translated in poverty, disease and family fights. To expurgate the evil belongs the goal to the church´s follower as well as the reverse of the medal is translated in spiritual, material, sentimental wealth, the spiritual war evidenced in the objective Fridays to place in relief also that is of the corpus of meanings that feeds the Universal version. The church´s speech promotes the war well versus badly starting from the combat to that religious considered diabolical like: Candomblé, Umbanda, Quimbanda. The exorcism is the weapon of the church´s believer. Many enter in the possession´s status traveling in a personal trajectory of fight against the entities. That contemplates in the whole community which pulls of collective memory the souvenir of such entities and messengers translated in the Universal Church as diabolical.
