Resumo: With the rise of e-commerce, the distribution center's demand has shifted; they have received many orders with few items per order. These orders typically arrive at warehouses with short deadlines, and even then, they must be collected and sorted quickly. These demands have exhausted the operators, but the need for flexibility makes automation in the process difficult. Technologies to meet this demand have been researched, but some are prohibitively expensive. There are technologies proposed to solve the problem that do not replace man, but rather assist him. RFID, barcodes, and pick-by-light are three of these technologies. Each of them contributes to the activity at a different stage. This research aims to create an artifact that combines these three technologies, resulting in improved performance at all stages of the activity at a low cost. It is expected that this will reduce the activity's time by more than 20% while avoiding collection errors. ROSENFELD et al product.'s development method was used to create the mechanism (2006). It was tested and compared to manual picking in a real warehouse. The findings revealed that the artifact allows for time savings in almost all stages of the activity. The only activity that did not show a decrease was the operation. The average travel time was reduced by 48%, according to what I heard. Esses pedidos normalmente chegam nos armazéns com prazos curtos e mesmo assim, é preciso ser coletado e separado em pouco tempo. Essas demandas têm gerado exaustão nos operadores, porém a necessidade de flexibilidade dificulta o uso de automação no processo. Tecnologias têm sido estudadas para atender a essa demanda, mas algumas apresentam custos elevados. Dentre as tecnologias propostas para resolver o problema existem as que não substituem o homem, mas o auxiliam. Três dessas tecnologias são RFID, Código de barras e pick-by-light. Cada uma delas auxilia em determinada etapa da atividade. Com isso, essa pesquisa tem como objetivo desenvolver um artefato que unifica essas três tecnologias, para que possa gerar melhor desempenho em todas as etapas da atividade a um baixo custo. O mecanismo foi desenvolvido usando o método de desenvolvimento de produto usado por ROSENFELD et al (2006). Ele foi testado em um armazém real e comparado com a coleta manual. O resultado mostrou que o artefato permite a redução do tempo em quase todas as etapas da atividade. Houve uma redução de 48% no tempo médio das viagens.
