This work is a research report of exploratory character, with quantitative and qualitative approach. It aimed at investigating the link between company is social responsibility and workers subjectivity in a context of life quality in work in three different companies ( in the industrial, trade and service area). Two studies were made: firstly, a quantitative approach study has used for data collecting the Scale of Pleasure-Suffering Indicators at work SPSIW (Mendes, 1999), which were submitted to the factorial analysis, PAF method by SPSS; Another study, using qualitative approach, used as instrument for data collecting a semi-structured interview. Data were analyzed by speech graphic analysis of Lane (1985). The latter was still divided into two groups: the G1 group, composed by managers and entrepreneurs, whereas the G2 group, composed by workers. The scale results have shown a predominant existence of suffering in the work. The results analysis have expressed that the workers were forced to repetitive, tiresome and unpleasant activities, which generated frustrations, discouragement and dissatisfaction. It has been shown that despite the fact that industry was small, it was the oldest and most concerned about the quality life of their workers. However, there was a smaller concern of the trade area with this aspect. And the service sector, in spite of being young, is big, which makes it more active for being more involved with global speech. Yet, this was not enough to promote more life quality at the workplace than the researched industry. This is due to the fact that it was more concerned with productivity rather than the life quality of their workers. This study has shown that the Program of Life Quality in the Work is part of a bigger project denominated Company Social Responsibility of looking for better psychosocial and physical working conditions. Since these programs are set with different goals according to the each studied organization needs, and not being limited to any kind of procedures pattern.
