This dissertation thesis has its beginning in the work realized with teenagers inserted in the measure of Assisted Freedom. The need of development of a tecnic that really contributed for their formation was the foundation of a whole process that culminated in the use of maiêutica in the daily of professional practice. By the other hand, were as militant of NEP (Núcleo de Estudos Popular 13 de maio) that we could appropriate and identify ourselves with their manner of knowledge socialization, that is, with the overcoming of common sense through maiêutica that for itself is too overcame in its genesis. But it s not only to clarify and analyze a tecnic. It s to demonstrate, being this our goal, the applicability of maiêutica as an educative tecnic in Social Work. However, we understand here as educative the process of human s release of its alienation, therefore we evidence all the time that our work consists in human s formation in its politics way. In our studies we search for to comprehend that to surpass an immediate and mechanic practice, the professional that intends to intervene in the process of human s formation, mainly in relation to the human s release of oppression and alienation, needs to operate mechanisms and instruments that can disclose oppressed to its chains and indicate ways for them to forge its proper weapons in the fight against the capital. In this way, we can not exempt ourselves of understanding the process of conscience. Since its embryonic form until the possibility of the jump for the universality, that is, of the full conscience of our role in history. From this perspective the destiny of the class and the humanity depends on the totality of collective and we must intervene in this process with the clarity of an action to demystify the ideologically deformed social reality. Ahead of a revolutionary social theory of dialectical process of its interpretation, we have in maiêutica a way to socialize this basic knowledge just not for the overcoming of capital s society, as well as the birth of the critical and free human of desolating uniformity that we live in the current days
