Resumo: | The present research aimed to know the meanings of professional future for young high school students of different social classes residing in brazilian counties with unequal professional formation opportunities. The information was produced in two counties, located in Bahia and São Paulo, from a questionnaire, answered by 53 high school students. Among them, four groups were formed, with four participants each, divided by county and socioeconomic status. These sixteen students participated in focus group encounters, and, among them, eight were also interviewed individually. The group meetings and interviews were recorded in video, audio and later transcribed. The perspective of socio-historical psychology guided our view of the object and our methodological procedures. We used the Aguiar and Ozella approach (2006, 2013) of the nuclei of meaning as a data analysis strategy. Based on the five constituted nuclei, we could conclude that the reproduction of social inequalities was present in each nucleus of meaning analyzed. The expectations for the future, the feelings associated with it, the information they had, the higher education institutions chosen, the obstacles they imagined to face, the strategies for overcoming them, the contribution of school education and family heritages and traditions, all the analyzed aspects were marked by the insertions of young people in different social classes. In both groups of the São Paulo’s county, it was almost unanimous that, through future professional activities, they intervene in the situation of inequality and social exclusion. The two groups of the Bahia’s county had, in their construction of projects of a professional future, to evaluate the possibility of changing to another city or coming and going daily to the neighboring county to carry out the professional formation, not available in the municipality in which they lived. Half of the students in each group decided to move to another city. For all of them, the separation from the family, the challenge of living in a new city and whether or not they can rely on family help, the financial limitations of the poorest families, the shortage of jobs in the county of origin, the possibility of starting professional trajectory in the county in which they wish to remain residing, among others, were aspects considered in the migration decision. Some federal programs of access and permanence in higher education that could be strategically used by students from the poorest groups, such as Prouni, Fies, Pnaes, were almost unknown by them. Based on this study, we reflect on the unequal distribution of higher education in the country as one of the determinants of the construction of the future projects of different brazilian youths. Similarly, we verified that the powerful reproductive mechanisms of socioeconomic inequality, which benefit a small part of the young population while excluding the majority of the working class's youths, also constitute as determinants of this future professional planning. In order to overcome these inequalities, it is essential that society and its representatives prioritize it, especially in the planning of public policies for the future of the country and in the actions resulting therefrom |

As informações foram produzidas em dois municípios, localizados na Bahia e em São Paulo, a partir de um questionário, respondido por 53 estudantes do ensino médio. Dentre eles, foram formados quatro grupos, com quatro participantes cada, divididos por município e condição socioeconômica. Esses dezesseis estudantes participaram de encontros de grupo focal e, dentre eles, oito foram também entrevistados individualmente. Os encontros dos grupos e entrevistas foram registrados em vídeo, áudio e posteriormente transcritos. A perspectiva da psicologia sócio-histórica norteou nosso olhar sobre o objeto e nossos procedimentos metodológicos. Utilizamos a abordagem de Aguiar e Ozella (2006, 2013) dos núcleos de significação como estratégia de análise dos dados. Com base nos seis núcleos constituídos, pudemos concluir que a reprodução das desigualdades sociais estava presente em cada núcleo de significação analisado. As expectativas para o futuro, os sentimentos associados a ele, as informações de que dispunham, as instituições de ensino superior escolhidas, os obstáculos que imaginavam enfrentar, as estratégias para superá-los, a contribuição da educação escolar e das heranças e tradições familiares, todos os aspectos analisados foram marcados pelas inserções dos jovens em diferentes classes sociais. Nos dois grupos do município paulista foi quase unânime a intenção de, por meio das atuações profissionais futuras, intervirem na situação de desigualdade e exclusão social. Os dois grupos do município baiano tiveram, em suas construções de projetos de futuro profissional, que avaliar a possibilidade de mudança de cidade ou de ir e vir diariamente para o município vizinho para realizarem a formação profissional, não disponível no município em que residiam. Metade dos estudantes de cada grupo decidiu pela mudança de cidade. Para todos eles, o afastamento da família, o desafio de residir em uma nova cidade e nela poderem ou não contar com ajuda de familiares, as limitações financeiras das famílias mais pobres, a escassez de empregos no município de origem, a possibilidade de iniciarem a trajetória profissional no município em que desejam permanecer residindo, entre outros, foram aspectos considerados na decisão de migração ou não. Alguns programas federais de acesso e permanência no ensino superior que poderiam ser estrategicamente utilizados pelos estudantes dos grupos mais pobres, como o Prouni, Fies, Pnaes, eram praticamente desconhecidos por eles. Com base nesse estudo, refletimos sobre a desigual distribuição do ensino superior no país como um dos determinantes da construção dos projetos de futuro de diferentes jovens brasileiros. De forma semelhante, constatamos como os poderosos mecanismos de reprodução da desigualdade socioeconômica, que beneficiam uma pequena parcela da população enquanto excluem a maioria dos jovens das classes trabalhadoras, constituem-se também como determinantes desse planejamento de futuro. Para a superação dessas desigualdades é essencial que a sociedade e seus representantes a priorizem, especialmente nos planejamentos de políticas públicas para o futuro do país e nas ações delas decorrentesCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/48572/Ricardo%20Zobaran.pdf.jpghttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/48607/Solange%20Alves%20Perdig%c3%a3o.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Educação: Psicologia da EducaçãoPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de EducaçãoDesigualdades sociaisEstudantes do ensino médioJuventude - Orientação profissionalSocial inequalitiesHigh school studentsYouth - Vocational guidanceCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIA::PSICOLOGIA DO ENSINO E DA APRENDIZAGEMSignificações de futuro profissional para estudantes de ensino médio de diferentes classes sociais residentes em municípios com ofertas de formação profissional desiguaisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTSolange Alves Perdigão.pdf.txtSolange Alves Perdigão.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain1063703https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/22035/4/Solange%20Alves%20Perdig%c3%a3o.pdf.txtd9e49f54d701d1f81103e72b64b14063MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
