Resumo: | Through studies for understanding what comes to text today, we conducted reading activities and quizzes goals among elementary school students of a public school in Sao Paulo in order to discover how important is reading in school, and what unleashes the numbers registered by the Education Department of the State of São Paulo as the low efficiency of competence reading of these students in the year 2011. By agreeing to authors who see reading as an interaction between author, text and reader, we want to know what kind of relationship exists between these students and the texts proposed by the Portuguese teachers in the classrooms. If found, through research conducted by the Education Department, the student presents difficulties in their reading competence, we do not find out why the school has been developing, with competence, its teaching strategies to achieve a pleasant and proficient reading. And we get the rhetoric, the art of arguing, the art of persuasion through discourse, to evidence the presence of fear in reading activities conducted in the classroom as an inhibitor of the process of learning to read in school |

And we get the rhetoric, the art of arguing, the art of persuasion through discourse, to evidence the presence of fear in reading activities conducted in the classroom as an inhibitor of the process of learning to read in schoolPor meio de estudos realizados para a compreensão do que vem a ser texto hoje, realizamos atividades de leitura e questionários objetivos entre alunos do Ensino Fundamental II de uma escola pública estadual da grande São Paulo para descobrirmos que importância tem a leitura na escola, e se existe algum tipo de mal que desencadeie os números registrados pela Secretaria de Educação do Estado de São Paulo quanto ao baixo rendimento da competência leitoras desses alunos no ano letivo de 2011. Ao concordar com autores que veem a leitura como uma interação entre autor, texto e leitor; queremos saber que tipo de relação existe entre esses alunos e os textos propostos por seus professores de Língua Portuguesa em sala de aula. Se constatado, por meio de pesquisa realizada pela Secretaria de Educação, que o aluno apresenta dificuldades em sua competência leitora, queremos descobrir por que a escola não vem desenvolvendo, com competência, seu papel de ensinar as estratégias para a realização de uma leitura prazerosa e proficiente.
