The purpose of this research is to analyze what the documents point out about teacher training for the admission of migrant/refugee children and families in the Municipal Schools for Early Childhood Education in São Paulo and emphasize the importance of initial, continued, and permanent teacher training for the construction of humanizing practices. The methodology used was based on a documental and bibliographic analysis of the Municipality of São Paulo. Consequently, the literature review allowed us to understand the historical conception of early childhood education, the migratory movements, and the rights acquired over the years, with laws that have gradually guaranteed these rights. It was used as theoretical support authors such as Ariès (2018), Saviani (2007), Kuhlmann Jr. (2001), Campos, Rosemberg and Ferreira (2001) with notes on the history of early childhood education; Feldmann (2008), Freire (2000), Imbernón (2016) and Nóvoa (1995) who have emphasized on the importance of initial, permanent, and continuing education for teachers. It is hoped, with this study, to offer pointers for the training of early childhood education teachers in São Paulo for the admission of migrant/refugee children and families and so, strengthen the teachers' practices and the construction of a warm and humane praxis. Therefore, it was also possible to point out that, although the São Paulo City Hall documents bring subsidies for the admission of migrant/refugee children and families, the teachers need continuous and permanent training to be able to assist these families and children with all the quality and dignity to which they are entitled
