This dissertation deals with the analysis of the Project Pro-Family, held in Piracicaba and the families entered into the Cash Transfer Program. He left the question concerning the work performed by professionals in the project as educational function. The study referred to the work done by childcare professionals Project Pro-Familia (Social worker and psychologist) as well as performance, implementation, analysis and intentionality and commitment profissional.Esta research was based on analysis of primary data and side, collected by more than a research tool, such as semi structured interviews with professionals from the Project Pro-Family, with the users and beneficiaries of the Project Transfer Program Income - Family Allowance, and the research literature and documents. It can be concluded that the socio developed by health professionals involved in CRAS New Horizon does not have a performance consistent with the objectives of the project, thus enabling to verify that the work done as a process of empowerment is not allowing the perpetuation of the dependence of the benefit received
