Como reverbera a palavra: contribuição a uma teoria interdisciplinar de educação

How does the Word echo? This is the question that triggers off this study that was germinated throughout the years I have been teaching Portuguese Language in a private university in São Paulo. The Word is considered being brought to light in the communicative process, arising from intersubjectivity, after alterity is exercised. The relevance of this study can be acknowledged for it was set to examine the difficulties faced by students who, entering the university, show some lack of adjustment towards oral and written word. Some can t argue nor reflect about general topics brought up for discussion mostly for not having a fine cultural repertoire. Hence, they use the Word carelessly and are not concerned on how it reaches the receiver. Based on an exegetical methodology, I tried to articulate the findings of: Fazenda, Lenoir and Ricoeur on Interdisciplinarity; Fucks, Greimas and Saussure on Linguistics; Bakthin, Orlandi and Wittengenstein on Philosophy of Language and Berlo, Jakobson and Watzlawick on Communication. These authors draw on the theory that supports the topic, embracing the Word in its movement and strength. The issues discussed reveal the humbleness, coherence, contemplation, respect and disinterest - principles that underlie the Interdisciplinarity - leading to the question of the Word that is said, silenced and implied. Thus, this study expects to engage the teacher-reader in the discussion of the Word, encompassing the influence that it exerts on the human behavior and the serious distortions it endures, hence refraining the dialogue, the understanding and the universality of the culture
