Leprosy is a chronic infectious contagious disease and represents a serious problem for the Brazilian Health System, due to its magnitude and its high incapacitating power. In the last thirty years we have had a great evolution in the treatment of leprosy, together with the changes in the Brazilian Health System, with the formation of the Family Health Teams and with the work of the Community Health Agents. The latter acting in direct and constant contact with the population. It is then necessary to invest in their training, in order to enable them to work as a team, with mastery of knowledge and skills to perform their duties. Objective: To describe the Methodology of Problematization, as a teaching strategy in the training of the Family Health Team. Material and Methods: a descriptive study describing the experience with a Family Health Team of the municipal practice "Dr. Martiniano Salgado "of Votuporanga, formed by 10 people. Two meetings were held. In the first stage of the Arch of Maguerez, 2 dynamics were used, the Balloons to evaluate how much leprosy the team had knowledge and the second dynamics, of the Posters so that the participants scored the problems found in relation to leprosy. Results: the application of the problem-solving methodology proved to be satisfactory in the training of the Family Health Team, in addition to stimulating the active participation of the students in solving the problem. Conclusion: The Problem-solving Methodology is really an important strategy in the training process, promoting the stimulus, the autonomy of the students and the construction of collective knowledge
