This work emphasizes the living conditions of the prison egress on the streets in São Paulo. The research was based on the methodology of qualitative research, and data collection through semi-structured individual interviews, conducted in an unsystematic way. The life trajectory of each participant and each respondent was professional, chronologically organized on the basis of six chapters. From this organization information could be identified the route that prison graduates on the streets run until the homeless and also who are the potential professionals who serve this directly or indirectly public. In the first chapter to try to better understand who the prison egress on the streets, we prioritize making a preliminary analysis of the Brazilian situation to try to understand that society is such that there is prison egress in the streets. In the second chapter we analyze the data on the current Brazilian prison system: number of incarcerated people and number of employees to meet this demand; overcrowding in prisons - an x-ray of the prison system; They are seen as prisoners; family ties of prisoners, difficulties and conditions imposed for visits and for the last if it happens or not the rehabilitation of prisoners. In the third chapter we discuss the situation of the prison egress from the Brazilian legislation, as they are seen by society, but also on family ties after their return from imprisonment. As well as the requirements and compliance with the obligations established by the Penal Execution Law. In the fourth chapter we seek to point out the difficulties people living on the streets suffer (not just limiting condition prison egress), addressing the fragility of family ties, unemployment and few job alternatives. In chapter five we analyze the tract of public policies of social welfare, public health and public safety in the prison egress in the streets. In the final chapter we analyze all nine interviews with adult men and women, aged 21 ~ 64 years, served in various departments of the state of São Paulo. Analyzing the collected answers about: life in prison; reality as prison egress; the preparation for the return to freedom; the determinations of LEP to prison egress; life in freedom after the arrest; living on the street; the relationship to work; documentation; financial situation; the question of survival; prejudice for being prison egress; challenges; the relationship with family; Public support services. We also analyzed twelve interviews with various professionals that serve this population from the time of incarceration to the streets
