Resumo: The aging population, technological advances and innovations have changed people's behavior. Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are multifactorial diseases that develop throughout life and are long lasting, causing millions of premature deaths each year, and are the leading cause of disability in the world. Despite the possibility of prevention, NCDs remain one of the biggest challenges health systems face, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), and have been a major concern for local and global organizations. For this reason, these organizations came together to discuss and develop an action plan and goals, with preventive and assistance approaches, with the main objective of preventing aggravations and new cases of NCDs. This work followed professionals with NCDs from Promon Engenharia for six months, through a program of prevention and health promotion, with multiprofessional pillars and visions, aimed at improving the management of NCDs. It is an exploratory, qualitative research using the case study method. The research participants were 10 professionals and 2 retirees. The data were obtained through a questionnaire with closed questions, individual oral interviews, recorded in audio and guided by semi-structured questions; data was also obtained by means of the results of the clinical examinations, the results of the corporal measures of the nutritionist and data of the physical educator. The interviews were analyzed using the Content Analysis method - thematic modality. The results showed that NCDs can be controlled and even avoided, through prevention, promotion and health management programs, in order to obtain improvements and benefits for participants in these programs. Although they are aware of the importance of health, participants rarely participate in actions related to prevention and health promotion programs in their daily lives and especially during the week, due to lack of time or other appointments and errands, or even because of their work, even after the end of the workday. In addition, most participants only felt the need to care for their health after a serious acute illness or to have acquired NCDs, at which time they became effectively responsible for their health, healthy habits and behaviors. Most participants were well aware of their way to behavioral changes to a healthier lifestyle, yet they needed coordination and follow-up, as well as their own tools to work on changing behaviors toward healthy habits. Most participants were able to develop a comprehensive reflection, followed by systematic and continuous mechanisms to promote gradual and important changes in their habits and behaviors. However, it is necessary that future programs include mechanisms and tools that can contribute to greater adherence to programs and / or drug treatments, and that autonomy skills and health empowerment from collaborative networks are addressed and developed so that intuitive and continuous mechanisms for the effective change in lifestyles can be learned in a practical way

However, it is necessary that future programs include mechanisms and tools that can contribute to greater adherence to programs and / or drug treatments, and that autonomy skills and health empowerment from collaborative networks are addressed and developed so that intuitive and continuous mechanisms for the effective change in lifestyles can be learned in a practical wayO envelhecimento da população, os avanços tecnológicos e as inovações têm mudado o comportamento das pessoas. As Doenças Crônicas não Transmissíveis (DCNT) são doenças multifatoriais que se desenvolvem no decorrer da vida e são de longa duração, causando milhões de mortes prematuras todos os anos, e são a principal causa de incapacidade no mundo. Apesar da possibilidade de prevenção, as DCNT permanecem como um dos maiores desafios enfrentados pelos sistemas de saúde, segundo a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS), e têm preocupado cada vez mais as organizações locais e mundiais. Por essa razão, essas organizações se uniram para discutir e desenvolver um plano de ações e metas, com abordagens preventivas e assistenciais, com objetivo principal de prevenir agravos e novos casos de DCNT. Este trabalho acompanhou por seis meses os profissionais com DCNT da Promon Engenharia, por meio de um programa de prevenção e promoção da saúde, com pilares e visões multiprofissionais, visando a melhoria na gestão das DCNT. É uma pesquisa de natureza exploratória, qualitativa, com uso do método de estudo de caso. Os participantes da pesquisa foram 10 profissionais e dois aposentados. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de questionário com perguntas fechadas, entrevistas individuais orais, gravadas em áudio e norteadas por perguntas semiestruturadas; foram obtidos também por meio dos resultados dos exames clínicos, pelos resultados das medidas corporais da nutricionista e dados do educador físico. As entrevistas foram analisadas utilizando-se o método de Análise de Conteúdo – modalidade temática. Os resultados mostraram que as DCNT podem ser controladas e até mesmo evitadas, por meio de programas de prevenção, promoção e gestão da saúde, a fim de obter melhorias e benefícios aos participantes desses programas. Apesar de terem consciência da importância da saúde, os participantes dificilmente participam de ações relacionadas aos programas de prevenção e promoção da saúde no seu dia a dia e principalmente no decorrer da semana, por falta de tempo, ou por outras demandas da vida, ou até em prol do trabalho, mesmo após o término da jornada. Além disso, a maioria dos participantes só sentiu a necessidade de cuidar da saúde após uma doença aguda grave ou ter adquirido uma DCNT, momento em que passaram efetivamente a serem responsáveis diretamente pela sua saúde, hábitos e comportamentos saudáveis. Os participantes na sua maioria, conheciam o caminho em direção as mudanças de comportamento para um estilo de vida mais saudável, contudo, necessitavam de coordenação e acompanhamento, além de ferramentas próprias para trilharem em direção a mudança de hábitos e comportamentos saudáveis. A maioria dos participantes conseguiu desenvolver uma reflexão abrangente, seguido de mecanismos sistemáticos e contínuos para promover mudança gradual e importante nos hábitos e comportamentos dos mesmos. Contudo, é necessário que os programas futuros contemplem mecanismos e ferramentas que possam contribuir para maior aderência aos programas e/ou aos tratamentos medicamentosos, e que sejam abordadas e desenvolvidas as habilidades de autonomia e o empoderamento na saúde a partir de redes colaborativas, para que possam aprender na prática mecanismos intuitivos e contínuos, para a mudança efetiva de estilos de vidaapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/48752/Erica%20Watari%20Hirata.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Educação nas Profissões da SaúdePUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências Médicas e da SaúdeDoenças crônicasServiços de saúde - AdministraçãoServiços de promoção da saúdeChronic diseasesHealth services - ManagementHealth promotion servicesQuality of lifeQualidade de vidaCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDEGestão de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis: um estudo de casoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTErica Watari Hirata.pdf.txtErica Watari Hirata.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain386879https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/22082/4/Erica%20Watari%20Hirata.pdf.txt46d167f6fd44851990af34fca7c3dcf1MD54LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
