Resumo: The present study investigates the dimensions of communication (Massoni, 2007b, 2014) in documents from the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC). The approach concerns the areas of Communication and Administration within the organizational scope ? considering their potential interfaces and complementarities. Based on identifying these dimensions, our aim is to unveil the (mis)understanding of communication in corporate governance and highlight the (non) place (Aug?, 2012) of organizational communication within such governance. The chosen methodology was the Complexity Paradigm (Morin, 2003, 2015a, 2015b), articulating it with the perspectives of Comprehensive Sociology (Maffesoli, 2008, 2020, 2022) and Symbolic Interactionism (Mead, 2021; Blumer, 1980). The methodological approach included literature and documentary reviews, data collection from Institute publications, state-of-the-art review, and exploration of selected information. This path showed that the IBGC?s understanding of communication is generally associated with the informative and/or ideological dimension. Such understanding is considered a lack of understanding, and it results in a non-place of organizational communication in corporate governance, considering both the physical and anthropological spaces. Besides, it is inferred that communication may cause discomfort by promoting sociocultural encounters and dialogical dialogue. This occurs as it is embraced and lived by organizational subjects, including the organization itself, when analyzed within its complexity. Based on this assumption, the present study acknowledges that the multidimensional understanding of this communication may not be the focus of the IBGC organization. Complementarily, it may not be of high interest for the IBGC to assign the appropriate place to organizational communication

A partir da identifica??o dessas dimens?es, objetivamos desvelar a (in)compreens?o de comunica??o para a governan?a corporativa e evidenciar o (n?o) lugar (Aug?, 2012) da comunica??o organizacional nessa governan?a. No que se refere ao m?todo, optamos pelo Paradigma da Complexidade (Morin, 2003, 2015a, 2015b), articulando-o com as perspectivas da Sociologia Compreensiva (Maffesoli, 2008, 2020, 2022) e do Interacionismo Simb?lico (Mead, 2021; Blumer, 1980). Nosso percurso metodol?gico incluiu t?cnicas, como levantamento bibliogr?fico e documental, coleta de dados em produ??es do Instituto, revis?o do estado da arte e explora??o das informa??es selecionadas. A trajet?ria percorrida nos permite sustentar que: a compreens?o que o IBGC tem de comunica??o est?, geralmente, associada ? dimens?o informativa e/ou ideol?gica; e essa (in)compreens?o resulta no n?o lugar da comunica??o organizacional na governan?a corporativa, tanto no espa?o f?sico quanto no antropol?gico. A pesquisa ainda nos permite inferir que a comunica??o, possivelmente, incomode e desacomode, ao promover o encontro sociocultural e o di?logo dial?gico, e na medida em que, compreendida em sua complexidade, ? abra?ada e vivida pelos sujeitos organizacionais ? incluindo a pr?pria organiza??o.
