Resumo: | Brazil went through a political and economic crisis period from 2013 to 2016. The electoral results, in 2014 interfered in the local stock market risk. Data from BM&FBOVESPA suggested an increase in the local stock market volatility. Similarly, loss in the most of the companies` market value. Recession and crisis marked the following years. However, loses in financial and consumer`s sectors seemed to be lower. In this way, we asked if also the systemic risk would have grown, if the central companies and sectors would have changed and what would be the minimum variance and systemic risk portfolios. A dynamical Minimum Spanning Trees (MST) analyzed the systemic risk. I built 48 mothly MST´s from October 2012 utill September 2016 and analyzed the first four moments of the distance correlation matrix. I proposed two MST`s to verify the optimal portfolios and changes in the central companies and sectors: one for the two years before the re-election of Dilma Roussef and another for the two years after. I compared the central vertices and the number of clusters by hierarchical clustering. By observing the MST length`s shrinking and the increases in the correlation level, I discovered that the systemic risk grew through the following six months after the electoral results. Changes in the inclination of the distance correlation`s asymmetry and kurtosis suggested expectation and uncertainty changes. The hierarchical clustering revealed that the central stocks before the reelection were BBDC4- Bradesco Bank and EVEN3-EVEN Construction Company. After that, BBCD4 and ITSA4 – Itau Bank remained as the most central stocks. Construction sector left to be an important sector and stood by ITSA4 periphery. I suggested 8 clusters for each period as the available number for portfolio diversification for systemic risk reduction. The 20 lowest closeness centralities indicated the minimum variance portfolios for both periods. |

The 20 lowest closeness centralities indicated the minimum variance portfolios for both periods.O Brasil passou por um período marcado por uma crise política e econômica de 2013 a 2016. Os resultados eleitorais de 2014 interferiram no risco de mercado. Os dados da BM&FBOVESPA sugeriram um aumento da volatilidade dos retornos de investimentos em ações, assim como perdas nos valores de mercado da maioria das empresas de capital aberto. Os anos subsequentes foram de recessão, marcando um período de crise econômica. Entretanto, o prejuízo dos setores de bens de consumo e financeiro foram menores. Dessa forma, nos perguntamos se o risco sistêmico teria também aumentado após a reeleição de Dilma Roussef e quais teriam sido as alterações dos setores e empresas mais centrais. Respondendo essas perguntas também seria possível responder quais seriam os portfólios ótimos para minimizar a variância e para minimizar o risco sistêmico. A avaliação do mesmo foi realizada por meio da análise dinâmica de redes de correlação dos retornos diários, na forma de árvores geradoras mínimas. Foram analisados os quatro primeiros momentos e o comprimento da distância de correlação de 48 redes mensais de outubro de 2012 a setembro de 2016. Para verificação dos setores e empresas mais centrais e a formação das carteiras foi realizada análise hierárquica da árvore geradora mínima de dois anos anteriores versus dois anos posteriores, comparando-se as alterações dos elementos centrais e sua representação setorial, além da quantidade de agrupamentos disponíveis para diversificação dos investimentos. Por meio da observação do encolhimento da rede e do aumento do nível de correlação, verificou-se que nos seis meses após os resultados eleitorais o risco sistêmico aumentou. Alterações da tendência da inclinação da assimetria e curtose sugeriram alterações estruturais. A análise topológica e hierárquica da rede demonstrou que antes dos resultados eleitorais as ações mais centrais eram BBDC4 – Banco Bradesco e EVEN3- Construtora Even. Após, a mais central passou a ser BBDC4 e ITSA4 – Banco Itaú S.A., assim sendo, as ações do subsetor da construção civil deixaram de ocupar papel central nesse mercado e se deslocaram para a periferia de ITSA4. Por fim, a análise hierárquica indicou 8 de clusters disponíveis para mitigação do risco sistêmico nos dois períodos e as medidas de centralidade de proximidade indicaram quais seriam as ações com menor variância.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)NAporUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus SorocabaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Economia - PPGEc-SoUFSCarRisco SistêmicoReeleição Dilma RoussefRedes de CorrelaçãoÁrvores Geradoras MínimasPresidentes - Eleições - BrasilPresidents - Elections - BrazilSystemic RiskDilma Roussef `s reelectionCorrelationMinimun Spannig TreeCluster AnalysisCIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ECONOMIAAvaliação do risco antes e após reeleição de Dilma Roussef: uma análise por meio de redes de correlaçãoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesis12 meses após a data da defesainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARORIGINALDissertacao+folhaaprova.pdfDissertacao+folhaaprova.pdfDissertação Completaapplication/pdf4397034https://{{ getenv "DSPACE_HOST" "repositorio.ufscar.br" }}/bitstream/ufscar/9243/1/Dissertacao%2bfolhaaprova.pdff356fb61abd37bc5b138294401cc8b07MD51depósito-Dissertação-Gerson Nassor.pdfdepósito-Dissertação-Gerson Nassor.pdfCarta do orientadorapplication/pdf310028https://{{ getenv "DSPACE_HOST" "repositorio.ufscar.br" }}/bitstream/ufscar/9243/3/dep%c3%b3sito-Disserta%c3%a7%c3%a3o-Gerson%20Nassor.pdf5d3c5a519a976d7baf252d7bc7893fe6MD53LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
