Resumo: | The occurrence and isotopic composition of carbonaceous components in ancient rocks are strong evidence of life forms on the Earth's surface since the Eoarchean (> 3.7 Ga). These organic components are found in rocks formed in different contexts and the earliest examples of organic matter are found in Isua Greenstone Belt rocks (> 3.7 Ga) in Greenland; in the Pilbara Craton, at the North Pole Dome region (> 3.4 Ga), Australia; and in South Africa, in the Greenstone Belt of Barberton (> 3.2 Ga). In these examples, organic matter is associated with rocks formed in oceanic environments, in the vicinity of exhaling fumaroles, as well as in coastal environments. Another important example is the Witwatersrand Basin (2.9 to 2.7 Ga) in South Africa, where the organic matter is found widespread as bitumen, oil fluid inclusions and graphite inclusions in detrital components of conglomerate horizons. Organic matter in this basin has an intrinsic relationship with gold mineralization, uranium, and pyrite. Specifically, in the São Francisco Craton, State of Bahia, there are two deposits that have similarities with those mentioned above, although there are differences between their ages of formation. The first of these occurs in the Mundo Novo Greenstone Belt. The second deposit, represented by the conglomerates of the Jacobine Basin, is in many ways similar to the Witwatersrand Basin and its mineralization of gold, uranium, and pyrite. In both deposits are reported the occurrence of organic matter. For this reason, analyzes were performed via micro-Raman spectroscopy and SEM/EDS on pyrite grains to identify and characterize the association of the organic matter with gold deposits of Jacobina Basin and the Fazenda Coqueiro VMS deposit, of the MNGB, Bahia, Brazil. The results clearly show the presence of carbonaceous agglomerates (characteristic of organic matter) - peaks between 1400 and 1660 cm-1. Moreover, the presence of cline and calcochlorites also identified in the micro-Raman spectra potentiate the presence of organic matter. In addition, it will be held later dating (direct or indirect) of the material in order to include it within the Archean Era. This result is of great importance to science because it would record that primitive life forms on Earth's surface would be dated more than 3 Ga. |

This result is of great importance to science because it would record that primitive life forms on Earth's surface would be dated more than 3 Ga.A ocorrência e a composição isotópica de componentes carbonosos em rochas antigas são fortes evidências da existência de formas de vida na superfície terrestre desde o Eoarqueano (>3,7 Ga). Esses componentes orgânicos são encontrados em rochas formadas em diferentes contextos e os exemplos mais antigos de matéria orgânica são encontrados em rochas do Greenstone Belt de Isua (>3,7 Ga), na Groelândia; no Cráton de Pilbara, na região de North Pole Dome (>3,4 Ga), Austrália; e na África do Sul, no Greenstone Belt de Barberton (>3,2 Ga). Nesses exemplos, a matéria orgânica está associada a rochas formadas em ambientes de fundo oceânico, nas proximidades de fumarolas exalativas, bem como em ambientes costeiros. Outro exemplo importante ocorre na Bacia de Witwatersand (2,9 a 2,7 Ga), na África do Sul, onde a matéria orgânica é encontrada disseminada na forma de betume em horizontes de conglomerados, em inclusões fluidas de óleo, bem como inclusões de grafita em componentes detríticos. A matéria orgânica nessa bacia possui uma relação intríseca com uma mineralização de ouro, urânio e pirita. Especificamente, no Cráton do São Francisco, Estado da Bahia, existem dois depósitos que possuem similaridades com aqueles mencionados acima, embora existam diferenças entre suas idades de formação. O primeiro deles ocorre no Greenstone Belt Mundo Novo. O segundo depósito, representado pelos conglomerados da Bacia de Jacobina, se assemelha em muitos aspectos com a Bacia de Witwatesrand e sua mineralização a ouro, urânio e pirita. Em ambos os depósitos são reportadas a ocorrência de matéria orgânica. Por esta razão foram realizadas análises via Espectroscopia micro-Raman e MEV/EDS em piritas da região a fim de caracterizar e identificar a associação de matéria orgânica aos depósitos auríferos da Bacia de Jacobina e Fazenda Coqueiro VMS deposito Greenstone Belt Mundo Novo, Bahia, Brasil. Os resultados mostram clara presença de aglomerados carbonosos (característico de matéria orgânica) – picos entre 1400 e 1660 cm-1. Além disso, a presença de clino e calcocloritas também identificadas nos espectros micro-Raman potencializam a presença de matéria orgânica. Posteriormente será realizada a datação (direta ou indireta) do material a fim de checar se os depósitos possuem idade arqueana. Este resultado é de grande importante para a ciência, pois registraria que formas de vida primitiva na superfície da Terra seriam datadas de mais de 3 Ga.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)CAPES/DSporUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus SorocabaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciência dos Materiais - PPGCM-SoUFSCarPiritaEspectroscopia micro-RamanBacia de JacobinaGreenstone Belt Mundo NovoCIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOLOGIA::MINERALOGIAEspectroscopia micro-Raman e MEV/EDS aplicados a minerais do Craton São Francisco: evidência da formação de pirita mediada biogenicamente e suas conexões com a origem da vidainfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisOnline600fce28a5e-fa61-4e97-ac90-8870d1815657info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARORIGINALDISSERTAÇÃO DANIELE_Final pdf.pdfDISSERTAÇÃO DANIELE_Final pdf.pdfapplication/pdf4198729https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstreams/fe112b7b-82db-4d8f-addb-5a6c06c5f64a/downloadd6835ca00229850673ede5bf5e55e3deMD51trueAnonymousREADCarta comprovante entrega dissertacao final (1).pdfCarta comprovante entrega dissertacao final (1).pdfapplication/pdf210195https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstreams/2d49c537-d667-439f-9fef-002c50b97068/download0491dc10064ad1dc584612a73ecc3852MD52falseAnonymousREADLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
