Resumo: The objective of the present work is to analyze the editorial discourse of written media in Guatemala (Prensa Libre), Salvador (La Prensa Gráfica), Honduras (La Tribuna) and Nicaragua (La Prensa) and determine the importance of discourse on climate change. In response, 168 editorials were analyzed from the technique of constructing weeks, which consists of choosing one week per month, with days not repeated. They are analyzed under a Bakhtinian look; which emphasizes the compositional form and thematic unity. It is denoted that the majority’s editorial emphasis is on subjects related to politics, economics, and violence, especially. Despite the cause of the increasing climatic change, is of anthropic origin, the speech is null. There is no assertive speech about it.

There is no assertive speech about it.El objetivo del presente es analizar el discurso editorialista de los medios escritos en Guatemala (Prensa Libre), El Salvador (La Prensa Gráfica), Honduras (La Tribuna) y Nicaragua (La Prensa), y determinar la importancia del discurso sobre cambio climático. Buscando responder, se analizan 168 editoriales emitidos durante el segundo semestre del año 2016, tal muestra se escogió mediante la técnica de semanas construidas, la cual consiste en escoger una semana por mes, con días no repetidos. Los mismos son analizados bajo una mirada Bajtiniana; la cual hace énfasis en la forma composicional y la unidad temática. Se denota que el énfasis editorialista mayoritario es en torno a los temas sobre política, economía y violencia, especialmente. Aunque la certeza sobre el cambio climático de origen antrópico, es cada vez mayor, el discurso es nulo. No existe un discurso contundente sobre el hecho.O objetivo do presente trabalho é analisar o discurso editorialista dos meios escritos na Guatemala (Prensa Libre), Salvador (La Prensa Gráfica), Honduras (La Tribuna) e Nicarágua (La Prensa) e determinar a importância do discurso sobre a mudança climática. Como resposta, se analisaram 168 editoriais a partir da técnica de semanas construídas, a qual consiste em escolher uma semana por mês, com dias não repetidos. Os mesmos são analisados sob um olhar bakhtiniano; o qual dá ênfase na forma composicional e na unidade temática. Se denota que a ênfase editorialista maioritária é sobre assuntos relacionados com política, economia e violência, especialmente. Ainda que a causa da mudança climática cada vez maior, seja de origem antrópica, o discurso é nulo.
