Resumo: | Natural rubber (NR) is used for the preparation of several articles in domestic, industrial and automotive worldwide. However, for the NR can be used in these applications it must be vulcanized hindering their recyclability, since the material cannot be reprocessed by conventional processing methods. In this context, the development of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) using NR, which can be processed into products using conventional equipment and processes for thermoplastic materials, ensuring recycling while also adding value to the base material. The proposed objectives were: To study formulations of TPV- (NR + PP) with different reinforcing agents systems (silica, nanosílica and carbon black), vulcanization (sulfur, phenolic resin and dicumyl peroxide) and antioxidant (6PPD + TMQ), evaluating their rheological, thermal, mechanical, morphological and structural properties, and evaluate the recyclability of TPVs. Initially the influence study of materials of TPVs materials was found that the highest values mechanical properties were achieved with PP with melt flow index 11g/10min and NR-TSR-5. It was established that higher values of mechanical properties have been achieved by mixing the ingredients in two steps. The best mechanical properties values were obtained with TPVs (NR + PP) phenolic resin, carbon black and antioxidant (TMQ + 6PPD). Furthermore, the properties are improved by TPVs recycling due to chemical reactions of the phenolic resin with the PP, improving the compatibility in TPVs. The antioxidant system (6PPD + TMQ) considerably improves the behavior of TPVs both recyclability, as the mechanical properties; this behavior is related to the improvement of the compatibility of the NR and PP amines in the presence of the antioxidant system which react with NR. |

No entanto para que a NR possa ser utilizada nestas aplicações ela precisa ser vulcanizada o que dificulta a sua reciclabilidade, pois o material não pode ser mais reprocessado pelos métodos convencionais de processamento. Neste contexto, o desenvolvimento de elastômeros termoplásticos (TPE), utilizando a NR, que possam ser transformados em produto por meio de equipamentos e processos convencionais para materiais termoplásticos, garantindo a reciclagem além de também agregar valor ao material base. Os objetivos propostos deste trabalho foram: Estudar formulações de elastômeros termoplásticos vulcanizados de NR e polipropileno (TPV-(NR+PP), com diferentes sistemas de agentes de reforço (sílica, nanosílica e negro de fumo), vulcanização (enxofre, resina fenólica e peróxido de dicumila) e antioxidantes amina aromática + quinolina (6PPD+TMQ), avaliando suas propriedades reológicas, térmicas, mecânicas, morfológicas e estruturais, e, avaliar a reciclabilidade dos TPVs. Inicialmente no estudo da influência das matérias primas dos TPVs encontrou-se que os valores mais altos de propriedades mecânicas foram atingidos com PP com índice de fluidez de 11g/10min, valor adequado ao processo de injeção e NR-TSR-5. Foi estabelecido que os valores mais altos de propriedades mecânicas foram atingidos com a mistura dos ingredientes em duas etapas. Os melhores valores nas propriedades mecânicas foram obtidos com TPVs (NR+PP) com resina fenólica, negro de fumo e antioxidantes (TMQ+6PPD). Além disso, as propriedades são melhoradas com a reciclagem dos TPVs por reações químicas da resina fenólica com o polipropileno, melhorando a compatibilidade nos TPVs. O sistema antioxidante (6PPD + TMQ) melhora consideravelmente o comportamento dos TPVs tanto na reciclabilidade, quanto nas propriedades mecânicas; este comportamento está relacionado com a melhoria da compatibilidade da borracha e do polipropileno pela presença das aminas no sistema antioxidante, as quais reagem com a NR.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)CAPES: Código de Financiamento 001porUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus São CarlosPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciência e Engenharia de Materiais - PPGCEMUFSCarElastômeros termoplásticosBorracha naturalPolipropilenoTPVTPENRPPElastómeros termoplásticosCaucho naturalThermoplastic vulcanizateNatural rubberPolypropyleneENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA DE MATERIAIS E METALURGICA::MATERIAIS NAO METALICOSEstudo de elastômeros termoplásticos vulcanizados (TPVs) de borracha natural e polipropilenoStudy of thermoplastic elastomers vulcanizes (TPVs) of natural rubber and polypropyleneinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisOnline600cd4a0e5b-b40b-46f6-8c76-2c2bcc3239a9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
