Resumo: In the lectionary, the Word of God is transmitted abundantly and the assembly participates actively through the baptismal priesthood. The research analyzes the lectionary of the Roman Rite Mass in Brazil, its theological-pastoral aspect and its redactional path after the Second Vatican Council. The methodology includes a bibliographical review, a study of documentary and primary sources and records from the archives of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil. It is divided into three chapters, the first historical, the second theological and the third pastoral. The results indicate a laborious and lengthy process of adaptation to the changes of Vatican II, with the introduction of the vernacular language and the recovery of the abundance of the Word of God in the liturgy. There was considerable effort to provide a quality translation for the liturgical assemblies, following the original texts. However, the participation of the people in the construction of the texts was limited. Theology followed the Council's guidelines, emphasizing Tradition, Sunday as the Lord's Day and popular piety. Pastoral challenges include updating the reading forms, educating communities in the use of pastoral aids and ecumenical cooperation for the transmission of the faith through this book. The continuity of the work with the lectionaries deserves great dedication and appreciation, since they are important instruments of evangelization and education for community commitment.

La ricerca analizza il lezionario della Messa di rito romano in Brasile, il suo aspetto teologico-pastorale e il suo percorso redazionale dopo il Concilio Vaticano II. La metodologia comprende una rassegna bibliografica, uno studio delle fonti documentarie e primarie e dei documenti dell'archivio della Conferenza episcopale nazionale del Brasile. È suddiviso in tre capitoli, il primo storico, il secondo teologico e il terzo pastorale. I risultati indicano un laborioso e lungo processo di adattamento ai cambiamenti del Vaticano II, con l'introduzione della lingua vernacolare e il recupero dell'abbondanza della Parola di Dio nella liturgia. C'è stato un notevole sforzo per fornire una traduzione di qualità per le assemblee liturgiche, seguendo i testi originali. Tuttavia, la partecipazione del popolo alla costruzione dei testi è stata limitata. A pesquisa analisa o lecionário da missa de rito romano no Brasil, seu aspecto teológico-pastoral e seu percurso redacional após o Concílio Vaticano II. A metodologia inclui revisão bibliográfica, estudo de fontes documentais e primárias e registros dos arquivos da Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil. Encontra-se dividida em três capítulos, o primeiro de natureza histórica, o segundo de natureza teológica e o terceiro, pastoral. Os resultados indicam um processo de adaptação às mudanças do Vaticano II laborioso e delongado, com a introdução da língua vernácula e o resgate da abundância da Palavra de Deus na liturgia. Houve considerável esforço para fornecer uma tradução de qualidade para as assembleias litúrgicas, seguindo os textos originais. No entanto, a participação do povo na construção dos textos foi limitada. A teologia seguiu as diretrizes do Concílio, enfatizando a Tradição, o domingo como Dia do Senhor e a piedade popular. Desafios pastorais incluem a atualização dos formulários de leituras, a educação das comunidades no uso dos subsídios pastorais e a cooperação ecumênica para a transmissão na fé por meio desse livro.
