The study developed gave privilege to a comprehensive reading grounded in the criticism of instrumental reason and to the control of the technique. For this exercise we seek, originally, realize a reading of the historical philosophical panorama about the concept care yourself starting at the work The Hermeneutics of the Subject (A Hermenêutica do sujeito) by Foucault. In this direction, in order to problematize the repercussions of modern technique in the contemporary world we seek in the Heidegger main works the criticism undertaken by him to the instrumental reason. The roads created by the heideggerians reflections enable to realize a reflection about the ethical- political dimension of care, undertaken, mainly, starting on the Arendt contributions. In this direction the violence against children and teenagers was problematized as a possibility to visualize specifically the effects that the metaphysical thought in the contemporary society. Therefore, was realized a documental analysis of the Management Annual Report of the Criminal and Statistic analysis of Social Defense Secretariat of the State of Pernanbuco of the year 2007 to 2011. This analysis produced indicators until now not contemplated in the literature in order to subsidize comprehension about the phenomenon in question.
