This research aims to understand the psychodynamics of the work of the magistrates of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region (TRT), based on the theoretical-methodological referential by Christophe Dejours. This theory studies the subjective relationships of the worker with his activity, with the suffering and its effects on the physical and mental health. The method adopted in research was the Psychodynamics clinic of the work, with emphasis on the individual’s speech and qualified listening to suffering, based on the construction of a collective space of discussion. The study is aimed at know the psychodynamics of the work of the TRT judges and has as specific objectives: 1) characterize this organization of the work; 2) describe the experiences of pleasure and of suffering; 3) demonstrate defensive strategies; 4) analyze the dynamics of subjective mobilization and recognition and 5) identify the main pathologies of work with the purpose of suggesting interventions that contribute to health promotion in this work context. Data analysis occurred through clinical analysis of the work, organized in three thematic axes: a) work organization; b) subjective mobilization and c) suffering, defenses and pathologies. The main results showed identification with work and experiences of pleasure through judicial activity, especially in the presidency of court hearings, in the conclusion of agreements and in the resolution of conflict between the parties. The experiences of suffering refer mainly to work overload, lack of personnel structure to advise first-degree judges and lack of recognition by peers and by institution itself. Sometimes these sufferings caused damages to the health, family and personal life of the judges. The clinic of the work generated subjective mobilization by providing a space for discussion of experiences of pleasure and of suffering at work, the rescue of cooperation, the exchange of experiences and of practical intelligence, important to resignify the process of illness, favoring new meanings to the labor. A permanent program of the Psychodynamic Clinic of Work was suggested as a privileged collective space for promotion and for prevention of the health of magistrates.
