Resumo: Global changes in the form of communication have triggered an important aspect of social networks as a generator of information, often as the only channel and primary source of news. Understanding this aspect, politicians, businessmen and people willing to disseminate information began to use these networks as an instrument to influence public opinion, whether with true or false news. In this context, it is not enough to publish something, it is necessary to go viral and ensure enough engagement to catch the reader's attention and make the post a believable fact. It is from this maneuver for popularity that this research was born. The intention is to respond to a dilemma that mobilizes discussions in different countries, including Brazil: how to detect a bot acting on social networks?
