Introduction: violence are characterized as world hum problem, present in all societies and throughout history, being one que child abuse occurred IS closely related to the social, cultural and ideological. Objective: to analyze how Bodily injury of the characteristics resulting from physical violence in children and adolescents in Feira de Santana, Bahia, in the year 2014. Method: Exploratory epidemiological study to cross-sectional about characteristics of body injuries in children and adolescents Physical violence victims periciadas no legal Medical Institute of Feira de Santana - Bahia, using secondary data, make year 2014. Results: of 411 Violence Cases in Children and adolescents periciados not IML in Feira de Santana, Bahia, 53.0% male belonged to the sex; 83.5% were teenagers; as regions most affected were head 35.7% and 28.0% higher members; one contusion injury was more frequent 79.8%, while que, among contused as superficial lesions, excoriation 44.0% was more prevalent. from: there was no significant association between trauma in region head and neck with the characteristics of the victim, offender and the injury, except paragraph Variable with "blunt instrument" which is presented as protection factor. Conclusion: body injuries in children and adolescents due to violence, need to be better discussed, diagnosed and differentiated other injuries que generate inputs in hospitals, clinics, basic health units, among other. The location of the lesion can be hum important indicator of ill-treatment and Health professionals need to pay attention to this factor, as they are obliged to carry out notification and Report of Suspected or actual cases of violence.
