A ficção científica na ficção escolar : investigando as potencialidades do gênero no ensino de física

Since the original role of Science Fiction is treating Science in a playful way through the use of language based on the writer's intuition and common sense, current analysis surveys the genre's main literary works. Current research investigates whether science fiction is present within the classroom and tries to find out the opinion of teachers and pupils, the protagonists of the senior high senior, with regard to the production of verbal and visual fiction and to the possibilities of non-formal strategies in the teaching of Physics. Mistakes and conceptual solutions of certain literary work of Science Fiction genre are also analyzed. Whereas three questionnaires, one for teachers and the two for students, are undertaken, analysis is foregrounded on Bardin's Content Analysis. Science Fiction Classics such as Jules Verne's "From the Earth to the Moon" and "Voyage around the Moon", books and films, such as "2001, Space odyssey" by Arthur Clarke/Stanley Kubrick and "2010, the year we will make contact" by Arthur Clarke/Peter Hyams), the "Star wars" by George Lucas and "Star Trek" by Gene Rondonderry series are analyzed to find out images on Physics underlying intuition shared by school culture and by common sense towards a parameter between reality and fiction. Our concern for new teaching possibilities in the improvement of education increases as research develops. In fact, Science Fiction is a great help to understand that a great gap still exists with regard to our known school fiction.
