Police Stations for Women have to be seen within the context of an effort to build non-violent communities. The filing of a complaint by women has the juridical aim of giving notice on an allegedly criminal occurrence to police authorities. The document, a written deposition on women's reports, follows a juridical pattern since it is an instrument of the institution. Current research aims at analyzing the discursive process in reports on marital violence which have been elaborated in the Police Station for Women in Maringá PR Brazil, underscoring the production of meanings within its regularities. Research corpus comprises reports and recorded registers involving violent occurrences, authorized by the plaintiffs during transcription. Plaintiff's discourses, the history of violence against women and the establishment of Police Stations for Women were analyzed by French Discourse Analysis. The manner violent situations become discourse through the register's institutional standardization was further investigated, followed by a description of conjugality and violence collected as from the social and discursive loci occupied by the woman and by the policewoman that took the deposition. The importance of investigating this institutional discourse lies in the fact that it is through this discourse that meanings are created. In fact they gradually establish the history of violence against women within a specific context.
