Resumo: The Teaching of Chemistry in Basic Education is presented, often, in a disjointed way with the reality of the student, prioritizing the quantitative aspects. Thus, the search for methodologies that favor the development of this area of knowledge is increasingly entering the scope of research on the school space, in order to promote innovative teaching. Thus, the present research aimed to relate the popular knowledge of family farmers, parents of students of the 9th grade, from the pesticides generator theme, in order to raise awareness about the risks of unrestrained use of these products, as well as to study them through subject substance and blend. It was a qualitative study, characterized as participant research. Participants of the study were family farmers and eighteen students from the ninth grade of a public school in the final years of Primary School in the municipality of Riachão do Bacamarte-PB. It was an instrument for collecting data, a questionnaire composed of subjective questions. Participating students, in addition to responding to the questionnaire, were involved during the pedagogical intervention in collective activities, reading, discussion of texts, problem solving, research with farmers in the municipality, seminars and textual production. In order to do so, the students were asked to propose a teaching, based on the theoretical assumptions established by the National Curricular Parameters (NCP) and Science, Technology, Society and Environment (CTSA). The data were analyzed based on the content analysis proposed by Bardin (2011). The data obtained showed a good progress and a good performance on the part of the students regarding the resolution of problems with the subject substance and mixture. After the application of the proposal, it was also observed that the students realized the social and environmental implications caused by the inadequate use of the pesticides, as well as reflections and a better understanding of the subject, highlighting the importance of introducing social and environmental issues in the Teaching of Chemistry in a CTSA perspective.

Com isso, a busca por metodologias que favoreçam a fomentação dessa área do conhecimento está cada vez mais adentrando no âmbito das pesquisas sobre o espaço escolar, a fim de promover um ensino inovador. Assim, a presente pesquisa objetivou relacionar os saberes populares de agricultores familiares, pais de alunos do 9º ano, a partir do tema gerador agrotóxicos, de modo a conscientizá-los sobre os riscos do uso desenfreado desses produtos, bem como estudá-los por meio do assunto substância e mistura. Tratou-se de um estudo qualitativo, caracterizado como pesquisa participante. Participaram do estudo, agricultores familiares e dezoito alunos do nono ano de uma escola pública dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental do município de Riachão do Bacamarte-PB. Serviu de instrumento para a coleta de dados um questionário composto por questões subjetivas. Os alunos participantes, além de responderem ao questionário, foram envolvidos durante a intervenção pedagógica em atividades coletivas, leitura, discussão de textos, resolução de problemas, pesquisas com os agricultores do município, elaboração de seminários e produção textual. Para tanto, foi aplicada aos alunos uma proposta de ensino, elaborada a partir dos pressupostos teóricos estabelecidos pelos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) e presentes no movimento Ciência, Tecnologia, Sociedade e Ambiente (CTSA). Os dados foram analisados com base na análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin (2011). Os dados obtidos mostraram avanço e um bom desempenho por parte dos estudantes, quanto à resolução de problemas com o assunto substância e mistura. Após a aplicação da proposta, observou-se também que os alunos perceberam as implicações sociais e ambientais provocadas pelo uso inadequado dos agrotóxicos e apresentaram maior compreensão sobre o tema, evidenciando a importância de introduzir questões socioambientais no Ensino de Química em uma perspectiva CTSA.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de Ciências e Educação Matemática - PPGECEMUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPTeach of ChemistryPopular KnowAgricultural defensiveEDUCACAOEnsino de QuímicaSaberes popularesAgrotóxicoEducação do campoEnsino de Química e o uso de agrotóxicos: Saberes conjuntos entre escola e comunidadeinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisAlmeida, José Joelson Pimentel deQuadros, Ana Luiza deDantas Filho, Francisco FerreiraBarbosa, Fernanda Monteiroinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBTHUMBNAILPDF - Fernanda Monteiro Barbosa.pdf.jpgPDF - Fernanda Monteiro Barbosa.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg2751https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/0e327c1b-1a9a-4f0c-9b4d-f5ea74b6f952/download5c6b368746ad39d5a9e29951bd6625fbMD54falseAnonymousREADLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
