Resumo: One of the problems that has generated much discussion in recent years is the incorrect disposal of azo dye residues in water bodies, either because of its polluting potential or the large amount discarded annually, resulting in the need for efficient and economically viable technologies to alleviate this problem. This work aims to synthesize adsorbent hybrids based on bentonites abundant in the state of Paraíba modified with organic molecules and cations and apply in the adsorption of azo dye. The hexadecyltrimethylammonium cation was used as bentonite modifying agents. Hybrids modified by the hexadecyltrimethylammonium cation were synthesized using the ionic exchange method, varying the time (1 and 3h) and temperature (25 ºC and 60 ºC) of synthesis, as a way of evaluating the influence of these parameters on the formation of the hybrids. After the synthesis, the hybrids were characterized by XRD, FTIR and elemental analysis of CHN, applied in the process of adsorption of the red remazol RB azo dye, in which the influence of variables such as contact time, medium pH, mass was evaluated. of adsorbent and dye concentration to optimize the process. The characterization results of the synthesized hybrids demonstrate their efficient formation, since the XRD patterns presented displacement of the main peak of the montmorillonite to values lower than 2θ when compared to the crude bentonite, indicating an increase in the basal spacing of the clay (from 1.26 nm in the crude bentonite to up to 1.89 nm in the synthesized hybrids) and, consequently, the incorporation of the organic cation in this region. The FTIR spectra corroborated the XRD results and showed, for all hybrids, very evident bands at approximately 2922, 2850 and 1480 cm-1, these bands attributed to asymmetric and symmetric stretching of C-H bonds and CH3 stretching, respectively. These bands are characteristic of organic compounds and are not observed in the spectrum of crude bentonite, the results of the elemental analysis of CHN, confirmed the presence of nitrogen in the hybrids. All hybrids synthesized showed potential for adsorption of the red remazol RB dye, reaching 99.3% for the hybrid synthesized with 1 hour of stirring at a temperature of 60°C and 99.5% for the hybrid synthesized with 3 hours of stirring also temperature of 60°C.

Esse trabalho teve como objetivo sintetizar híbridos adsorventes baseados em bentonitas abundantes no estado da Paraíba modificadas com cátions orgânicos e aplicar na adsorção de azo corante vermelho de remazol. Na síntese dos híbridos foi utilizado como agente modificador da bentonita o cátion hexadeciltrimetilamônio pelo o método de troca iônica, variando-se tempo (1 e 3h) e a temperatura (25 ºC e 60 ºC) de síntese, como forma de avaliar a influência desses parâmetros na formação dos híbridos. Após a síntese, os híbridos foram caracterizados por DRX, FTIR e análise elementar de CHN, aplicados no processo de adsorção do azo corante vermelho de remazol RB, no qual foi avaliado a influência de variáveis como o tempo de contato, pH do meio, massa do adsorvente e concentração do corante para se otimizar o processo. Os resultados de caracterização dos híbridos sintetizados demonstraram a eficiente formação dos mesmos, visto que os padrões de DRX apresentaram deslocamento do pico principal da montmorillonita para valores menores de 2θ quando comparado com a bentonita bruta, indicando um aumento no espaçamento basal da argila (saindo de 1,26 nm na bentonita bruta para até 2,04 nm nos híbridos sintetizados) e, consequentemente indicando a incorporação do cátion orgânico na região interlamelar. Os espectros de FTIR corroboraram com os resultados de DRX e apresentaram, para todos os híbridos, bandas bem evidentes em aproximadamente 2922, 2850 e 1480 cm-1, bandas essas atribuídas aos estiramentos assimétricos e simétricos de ligações C-H e estiramentos CH3, respectivamente. Essas bandas são características de compostos orgânicos e não são observadas no espectro da bentonita bruta, os resultados da análise elementar de CHN, comprovaram a presença de nitrogênio nos híbridos. Todos os híbridos sintetizados apresentaram potencial de adsorção do corante vermelho de remazol RB, chegando a 99,3% para o híbrido sintetizado com 1 horas de agitação a temperatura de 60°C e 99,5% para o híbrido sintetizado com 3 horas de agitação também temperatura de 60°C.Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa do Estado da Paraíba - FAPESQapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Química - PPGQUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPQUIMICABentonitasCorantesAdsorçãoAzo-corantesBentonitas modificadas com cátions orgânicos para aplicação na adsorção do corante aniônico vermelho de remazolSubjective well-being and food insecurity in elderly peopleBienestar subjetivo e inseguridad alimentaria en personas mayoresinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisLima, Erivaldo Genuínohttps://orcid.org/0000-0001-9679-034Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7929226205635235Santos, Vandeci Dias doshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5227637742755112Honório, Luzia Maria Castrohttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-7643-955Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/7184095082791748Brito, Deoclecio Ferreira dehttps://orcid.org/0000-0001-7290-7849http://lattes.cnpq.br/2809045289696992https://lattes.cnpq.br/2857595375913665Silva, Cristiane Aragão dainfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBTHUMBNAILDS - Cristiane Aragão da Silva.jpgDS - Cristiane Aragão da Silva.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg3019https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/2cf639b8-4cc5-4659-ade3-9c96146df5f9/download4cdbeab6242f18b4b1789e8646b4d804MD55falseAnonymousREADTermo de Depósito BDTD.jpgTermo de Depósito BDTD.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4851https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/00f18a24-4dcd-40a6-b6e6-dd9adaeceb89/download8a179c9a4477dcccfe2af393ac47c195MD56falseAnonymousREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
