This research intended to analyze the participation of women in the informal labor market in Bolivia. So, it is made an attempt to analyze the situation of women in the informal labor market in the period from 2000 to 2021, as main premises we have the reality of precarious participation of women in the informal labor market, that is, participation in occupations that bring a certain instability and poor working conditions and the position of a dependent country in the development of the economy in global capitalism. In order to characterize the participation of women in the labor market, schooling, payment, worked hours, types of existing work will be considered, broken down by gender based on statistics from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) of Bolivia, as well as data from the Anuário Estadístico de América Latina y el Caribe of the Economic Comission for the Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). From the descriptive analysis of these data, among the informal jobs organized by Cepal, it was noticed that Bolivian women are included, for the most part, in self-employment in commerce and services. And the greatest motivation for them to carry out these jobs is the need for family subsistence (ILO, 2022). As in the rest of the world, women earn less than men and compared to them, they are more present in world of informal work (Cepal, 2022).
