Resumo: | In the pregnancy-puerperal cycle, any mother can present levels of stress in the face of daily challenges and future expectations regarding the exercise of motherhood and the child that will be born. However, when the pregnant woman receives the diagnosis of fetal malformation, the impact of the news frustrates the expectation of a healthy baby and the fetal malformation is configured as a stressor to be faced. In this unexpected scenario, a process of adaptation to this new reality begins, which implies the use of coping strategies. This study, therefore, aimed to analyze the maternal impact on the diagnostic communication of fetal malformation, from the way in which the mothers evaluated their professional conduct, what were the sources of support perceived by them in this process, and the coping processes developed after this moment of communication, based on the Motivational Theory of Coping. Twelve mothers of children diagnosed with fetal malformation collaborated with the research. The identification of mothers took place via professionals from the public health network of Campina Grande who provide assistance to these children and their families. For data collection, an individual interview was carried out, based on a semi-structured script and a sociodemographic and clinical questionnaire. Data were analyzed based on the thematic content analysis proposal. The results indicated that most mothers evaluated the professional attitude in the context of malformation as not welcoming, presenting the babies' parents as the main source of support in the face of this reality. And the coping practices most used by mothers, given the situation as a whole, were: self-confidence, search for information and helplessness. Through this study, it is expected that it will be possible to subsidize and promote disease prevention and health promotion practices for these mothers, also enabling greater visibility of this reality, as well as expanding studies on adult coping based on TMC. |

No entanto, quando a gestante recebe o diagnóstico de malformação fetal, o impacto da notícia frustra a expectativa de um bebê saudável e a malformação fetal configura-se como um estressor a ser enfrentado. Neste cenário inesperado, inicia-se um processo de adaptação a essa nova realidade, que implica a utilização de estratégias de enfrentamento. Este estudo, portanto, está apresentado no formato de dois artigos, o primeiro teve por objetivo analisar o impacto materno diante da comunicação diagnóstica da malformação fetal, a partir da forma como as mães avaliaram a conduta profissional, quais as fontes de apoio percebidas por elas nesse processo, enquanto o segundo artigo teve por objetivo analisar os processos de coping desenvolvidos após esse momento de comunicação, a partir da Teoria Motivacional do Coping (TMC). Colaboraram com a pesquisa 12 mães de crianças que foram diagnosticadas com malformação fetal. A identificação das mães, ocorreu via profissionais da rede pública de saúde de Campina Grande que prestam assistência a essas crianças e suas famílias. Para a coleta dos dados, foi realizada uma entrevista individual, a partir de um roteiro semi-estruturado e um questionário sociodemográfico e clínico. Os dados foram analisados a partir da proposta de análise de conteúdo temática. Os resultados indicaram que a maioria das mães avaliou a postura profissional no contexto da malformação como não acolhedora, apresentando os pais dos bebês como principal fonte de apoio diante desta realidade. E as práticas de enfrentamento mais utilizadas pelas mães, diante da situação como um todo, foram: autoconfiança, busca de informações e desamparo. Através deste estudo espera-se que seja possível subsidiar e impulsionar práticas de prevenção à doença e promoção à saúde destas mães, possibilitando também uma maior visibilidade desta realidade, bem como ampliar os estudos sobre coping em adultos embasados pela TMC.application/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Psicologia da Saúde - PPGPSUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPMaternityFetal malformationCopingCIENCIAS HUMANASMaternidadeMalformação FetalCopingImpacto materno e coping frente ao diagnóstico de malformação fetalPhysiological impact of noise pollution: an integrated analysis of physiological qualities of sound and sound intensity measures, through the methodology of the three pedagogical moments.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSilva, Josevânia daCoutinho, Sabrine Matuan dos SantosBarros, Sibelle Maria Martins dehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/9331588105460924Lima, Ana Clara Nascimento Cabralinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBTHUMBNAILDS - Ana Clara Nascimento Cabral Lima.jpgDS - Ana Clara Nascimento Cabral Lima.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg2971https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/384caca5-08b6-431e-9420-d71f7ca156ce/downloadfb9e6f3ab204e331419baebdb7520d7bMD57falseAnonymousREADTermo de depósito BDTD.jpgTermo de depósito BDTD.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4681https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/e419757d-a253-4930-9965-babe3c49466f/download51d4201369f9dbdc259d7c4f5632f3b9MD58falseAnonymousREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
