Resumo: This research aimed to study the poetry genre study in the classroom context in order to develop readers skills in students of the 9th year in a State Elementary School, located in Serra Branca / PB, from literature poems african-Brazilian in line with the proposal of the Law 10.639 / 03. Our hypothesis is that the experience reading african-Brazilian poems, linking them to their reading of the world, involving the social, cultural and historical poems and also their structural, stylistic and aesthetic features, students can meet about the literary poetry genre, as well as on the history and culture of black, allowing it to expand and hone your skills readers and build a revaluation of the identity of the black. Data from this study were obtained from the enforcement activities of proposals based on the basic sequence of Cosson (2009). The corpus was based on the application of proposals of activities based on the basic sequence of Cosson (2009), with the poems Family, by Claúdia Walleska; The strength of Africanity, by Dirce Pereira do Prado; And Identity (s), of Mel Adún published in the Black Notebooks (Volume 31), of the group "Quilombhoje" (2008). The mentioned proposal was elaborated from the data collection, formed through questionnaires made by the collaborating students in the intervention. The bias of interest is focused on literacy, considering that literature occupies a unique place in relation to language. This research is justified by the fact that despite the obligation introduced by Law 10.639 / 03, the teaching of history and african-Brazilian and African culture has not met fully the proposed objective, given that after thirteen years of existence this law still is facing difficulties in its implementation, since stumble often in ignorance of many teachers about how to treat the teaching of content around the History and Culture African and Afro-Brazilian in Basic Education. Thus, the relevance of this work is to contribute to visualize the teaching african-Brazilian and African literature in primary school classroom, contributing to a greater understanding of etnicorraciais relations from the classroom, against prejudice and segregation that they are victims of African descent. Therefore, the theoretical foundation said in addition to the assumptions of Law 10.639 / 03, with studies Cosson (2009), Duarte (2008), Fonseca (2006), Zilberman (2009), Lajolo (2001), Candido (1995) among others.

Partimos da hipótese de que ao experimentarem a leitura de poemas afro-brasileiros, vinculando-os à sua leitura de mundo, envolvendo os aspectos sociais, históricos e culturais dos poemas e, ainda, suas características estruturais, estilísticas e estéticas, os estudantes possam conhecer a respeito do gênero literário poesia, assim como, sobre a história e a cultura dos negros, possibilitando-se ampliar e aprimorar suas competências leitoras e construir uma revalorização da identidade do negro. Os dados desta pesquisa foram obtidos a partir da aplicação de propostas de atividades baseadas na sequência básica de Cosson (2009). O corpus de teve por base a aplicação de propostas de atividades baseadas na sequência básica de Cosson (2009), com os poemas Família, de Claúdia Walleska; A força da Africanidade, de Dirce Pereira do Prado; e Identidade(s), de Mel Adún publicados nos Cadernos Negros (Volume 31), do grupo “Quilombhoje” (2008). A referida proposta foi elaborada a partir da coleta de dados, formado através de questionários realizados pelos educandos colaboradores na intervenção. O viés de interesse está focado no letramento, considerando que a literatura ocupa um lugar singular em relação à linguagem. Esta pesquisa se justifica pelo fato de que apesar da obrigatoriedade instituída pela Lei 10.639/03, o ensino de história e cultura afro-brasileira e africana não tem cumprido totalmente o objetivo proposto, tendo em vista que após treze anos de vigência a referida lei ainda enfrentam dificuldades em sua implementação, visto que esbarram muitas vezes no desconhecimento de muitos professores a respeito de como tratar o Ensino dos conteúdos em torno da História e Cultura Africana e Afro-brasileira na Educação Básica. Dessa forma, a relevância deste trabalho está em contribuir para visibilizar o ensino de literatura afro-brasileira e africana em turma de ensino fundamental, contribuindo para um maior entendimento das relações etnicorraciais a partir da sala de aula, frente ao preconceito e a segregação de que são vítimas os afrodescendentes.
