This work studies the archetypical representations of the Feminine in a legend and two contemporary tales produced by the writers Anna Cláudia Ramos (1992), Mariana Colasanti (2005) and Ana Maria Machado (2002), respectively, holding as objects of studies archetypal Feminine aspects– the Maid, the Mother and the Elderly. We have prioritized images, symbols and Feminine archetypes, looking forward to understand the characters experiences, their conflicts and existence transformations. The work has been built in three chapters that approached, separately, the study of the selected corpus. Subsidizing in Neumann’s (1996), Durand’s (1997), Estés’ (1994), Franz’s (2008), Chinen’s (2001), Gould’s (2007), Warner’s (1999), Downing’s (1998) and other theoretical contributions, we have demonstrated the characters’ presentation forms, that we called “Feminine archetypical forms” and we have emphasized the Great Mother’ archetypal aspects that burst from them. In the tale Pra onde vão os dias que passam? were evidenced Feminine symbols, archetypes and images that contributed for the achievement of the results about the constitution of the archetypical being of the character Mariana. On the second tale, Debaixo da pele, a lua, the Mother archetype that became more evident and influenced upon the Woman, character of the plot. On the last analyzed narrative, Melusina, dama dos mil prodígios, the archetypical ways of presentation of the character Melusina connected to the Motherly, the Prodigious and the Weaver. Thus, the archetypes of the Mother, the Witch and the Destiny Spinner became more evident in the history. At the end of the analysis, were perceived some similarities between the characters of the three studied tales and between the own narratives that, even presenting diversified plots, intersected themselves at some points and primordial aspects.
