In this research we propose the study of ethnographic clipping, based on the environmental perception of loiçeiras women from the Chia da Pia - Areia (PB) community. Environmental perception is related to the human being's awareness of the environment. Each individual perceives, reacts and responds differently to actions on the environment in which they live and these responses are the result of individual and / or collective perceptions of each person's cognitive processes, judgments and expectations. In this way, the identification of environmental perception is of fundamental importance so that we can better understand the interrelations between man and the environment. In this interrelationship with the environment, its knowledge about the environment and its relationship with the resources of the biota, which is the set of living beings that inhabit a certain ecological environment, corresponds to a traditional knowledge, passed from generation to generation. Thus, the general objective of the research was to identify the perception about the environment of women loiçeiras, from the community Chã da Pia - Areia (PB - Brazil). The data collection was used through interview scripts, and talk wheels, which occurred once a week in the participants' homes. The research problem emerges from the issues involved with the interviewees' perception of environmental issues, human-caused impacts and the concern to maintain the natural balance. The analysis of the data was performed through the use of content analysis, proposed by Bardin (2011) and the construction of the categories proposed by Dias (2008), for the data collected in the interviews. From this point of view, we believe that environmental perception studies are of great importance, since they contribute to a shift in research focus, toward understanding from the native or local point of view, going beyond a merely cognitive perspective. We conclude that although the loiçeiras have environmental perception of the naturalistic type, there is still a concern with the environment. But their knowledge / perception goes beyond academic knowledge, and this acquisition of knowledge is given by knowledge accumulated through the generations. An art of skill developed in the work (practice) with the imagination (creation). His expression of works of art is always perceptible with his own identity, giving him also components of the manifestation of feeling. Thus art provides the knowledge of a reality interpreted by the artist's sensitivity.
