Resumo: Introduction: Defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the abnormal or excessive accumulation of fat in the body, obesity is considered a global public health problem. Primary Health Care (PHC) is described as the ordering of care, being the gateway to health services and directing the behaviour of multi-professional teams who must be trained in the care and management of obesity and associated comorbidities. To this end, in order for this care to be provided in a comprehensive and resolutive manner in health services, the Ministry of Health (MoH) advocates factors such as the availability of physical infrastructure and quality equipment to carry out specific diagnoses; professionals qualified to deal with simple and complex cases related to obesity and its comorbidities; different approaches (individual, group and community) as strategies employed in care, among others. Objective: To describe the types of approaches used to care for overweight or obese people in Primary Health Care (PHC) in the state of Paraíba. Methodology: A cross-sectional, population-based study, representative of Primary Health Care in the state of Paraíba, carried out in PHC units distributed across 168 municipalities in Paraíba, from January to June 2021, with 487 senior health professionals belonging to the selected health unit. The data was processed using R software. A descriptive analysis of the variables was carried out, with distribution of absolute and relative frequencies. Results: Most of the Basic Health Units linked to PHC in Paraíba provide some kind of care for people who are overweight or obese, with individual approaches (which encompass actions related to the user's specific needs) and community approaches (which involve any action promoted or under the initiative of the BHU for the public in the territory) being the most commonly used. Actions such as physical activity and bodily practices, as well as dietary and nutritional guidance, are well developed in the three types of approach employed (individual, group and community). Conclusion: These results show that the care actions developed by professionals in Paraíba's PHC services, in the most different types of approach, mostly comply with what is recommended by the Ministry of Health, but still do not work in their entirety due to factors such as lack of professional training and infrastructure in the units, requiring greater attention from managers in order to provide complete and resolutive care for overweight or obese individuals who seek services.

A Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) é descrita como ordenadora do cuidado, sendo porta de entrada dos serviços de saúde e direcionadora de condutas por equipes multiprofissionais que devem estar capacitadas para o atendimento e manejo da obesidade e comorbidades associadas. Para tanto, para que esse cuidado seja prestado de forma integral e resolutiva nos serviços de saúde, o Ministério da Saúde (MS) preconiza fatores como a disponibilidade de infraestrutura física e equipamentos de qualidade para realização de diagnósticos pontuais; profissionais habilitados para atendimento de casos simples e complexos relacionado a obesidade e suas comorbidades; realização de diferentes abordagens (individuais, com grupo de pessoas e comunitárias) como estratégias empregadas no cuidado entre outros. Objetivo: Descrever os tipos de abordagens empregadas no cuidado às pessoas com sobrepeso ou obesidade na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) do estado da Paraíba. Metodologia: Estudo transversal, de base populacional, representativo da Atenção Básica do Estado da Paraíba, realizado nas Unidades de APS distribuídas em 168 municípios paraibanos, no período de Janeiro a Junho de 2021, com 487 profissionais de saúde de nível superior pertencentes a unidade de saúde selecionada. Os dados foram processados mediante o uso do software R. Foi realizada análise descritiva das variáveis, com distribuição das frequências absolutas e relativas. Resultados: Grande parte das Unidades Básicas de Saúde vinculadas à APS da Paraíba realizam algum tipo de atendimento a pessoas com sobrepeso ou obesidade, sendo as abordagens individuais (que englobam ações relacionadas às necessidades específicas do usuário) e as comunitárias (que envolvem qualquer ação promovida ou sob iniciativa da UBS ao público do território), as mais empregadas no cuidado. Ações como a prática de atividade física e práticas corporais, bem como orientações alimentares e nutricionais são bem desenvolvidas nos três tipos de abordagem empregadas (individuais, em grupo de pessoas e comunitárias). Conclusão: Tais resultados refletem que as ações de cuidado desenvolvidas pelos profissionais nos serviços de APS da Paraíba, nos mais diferentes tipos de abordagem, contemplam, em grande maioria, o preconizado pelo Ministério da Saúde, mas ainda não funcionam em sua totalidade devido à fatores como a falta de capacitação profissional e infraestrutura das unidades, sendo necessária maior atenção de gestores para uma assistência completa e resolutiva os indivíduos com sobrepeso ou obesidade que procuram os serviços.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESConselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Pública - PPGSPUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPObesityObesity ManagementPrimary Health CareOverweightCIENCIAS DA SAUDEObesidadeManejo da ObesidadeAtenção Primária à SaúdeSobrepesoAbordagens empregadas no cuidado às pessoas com sobrepeso ou obesidade na atenção primária do estado da ParaíbaHybrid multi-criteria approach to water resources in semi-arid: Methodological proposal for systematic managementinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisMedeiros, Carla Campos Munizhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-7994-7277http://lattes.cnpq.br/6730680514230870Carvalho, Danielle Franklin dehttps://orcid.org/0000-0003-4835-082Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8539437540131131Farias, Camilla Ribeiro Lima Dehttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-4514-1013https://lattes.cnpq.br/8832917280090140Oliveira, Renata Cardosohttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-9410-9650http://lattes.cnpq.br/0956324322195962Monteiro, Gleicy Karine Nascimento de Araújohttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-4395-6518http://lattes.cnpq.br/8208889892167734Medeiros, Carla Campos Munizhttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-7994-7277http://lattes.cnpq.br/6730680514230870https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4465-7640http://lattes.cnpq.br/3951801234841904Rodrigues, Cinthia Sonaly Santosinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBORIGINALDS - Cinthia Sonaly Santos RodriguesDS - Cinthia Sonaly Santos RodriguesDS - Cinthia Sonaly Santos Rodriguesapplication/pdf5478512https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/a212c89d-1f75-4058-860a-4aa089345cf0/downloadf6e32b6f25688555b6e6c50c48885fc8MD54trueAnonymousREADTermo de depósito BDTDTermo de depósito BDTDTermo de depósito BDTDapplication/pdf234566https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/2bbe0a12-2dc6-4c9a-8887-7729a709c023/download4ecfb2baad8dfd938efe75c586d9f713MD53falseAdministratorREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
