Congenital Zika (CZ) is characterized by a series of damages in the brain development that affect individuals still in pregnancy. At birth, these children present neurological alterations that are delayed in neuropsychomotor development. As a result, motor acquisitions of postural control occur late and these children sit or lie down for long periods and inadequately. This results in postural vices and muscles shortening that favor the appearance of osteo-articular alterations. In view of this, this study aims to propose a guidance manual for the construction of a portable repositioning chair for a child with CZ, to be used during daily life activities and social interaction in indoor and outdoor environments, as well as therapeutic environments. So that it is suitable for children, caregivers and health professionals. This research is of a bibliographic and descriptive type. So that it is appropriate for children, caregivers and health professionals. This research is of a bibliographic and descriptive type. It is carried out through a partnership between the Center of Strategic Technology and Health (NUTES), from State University of Paraíba (UEPB) and the research Institute Professor Joaquim de Amorim Neto (IPESQ). The methodology was divided in five stages, which were: 1. bibliographic survey, 2. characteristics of the children and their caregivers and health professionals, 3. identification of the postural patterns adopted by the children with CZ, their caregivers and health professionals, 4. benefits and difficulties of using chairs from the perspective of the caregivers and professionals, and finally stage 5. Construction of the guidance manual for the creation of chairs for CZ. Forty-seven children with CZ aged between 24 and 44 months were evaluated, 47 caregivers, all female and 4 health professionals. The postural pattern of all individuals studied offers health risks and the main benefit that caregivers reported was that the chair is easy to transport internally and the main difficulty was that the chair can not be closed and is difficult to carry outside. Then the guidance manual was built, in it were addressed the requirements and parameters for construction of the chair, indication of accessories according to the level of the child's GMFCS, illustration of the way the caregiver and healthcare professional should position the child in the chair and perform activities of daily living according to the NR-17. I consider that the proposed guidance manual contains the parameters considered appropriate to guide the construction of a portable repositioning chair for children with CZ and to serve as a documentary support for professionals to prescribe the chair and for factories to build effectively for this audience.
