Resumo: Obesity is defined as excess body fat, above the ideal levels for good health. Although obesity is a public health problem that affects several age groups, it is among children and adolescents that it plays a more important role, due to the complexity of the treatment, high probability of persistence in adulthood and association with other non-communicable diseases, yet in age pediatric. The increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity in children worldwide is a critical public health problem that has encouraged governments to consider different strategies to reduce obesity in the population. While technological advances can have some negative health effects, the new technology also has the potential to improve health. The Internet of Things (loT) can provide a useful tool to achieve this need. The objective of this research was to create and validate a system model developed for nutritional intervention using the IoT network, to assess overweight and obesity in children and adolescents and promote healthy eating behaviors. This study had as target population children and adolescents at nutritional risk of overweight and obesity. The study had a technological, experimental, qualitative, descriptive, analytical and exploratory character, being divided into five stages. The first step was the development of the HANIoT platform. The second step was the technical scientific study of the research variables. During the third stage, there was the development of the Android APP and APP WEB (DASHBOARD) system. The fourth stage comprised the development of the pilot study and intervention. Finally, in the fifth stage, a questionnaire was applied for descriptive analysis of the research. With the analysis of the results, it was identified that the system has great potential as an instrument for the prevention and intervention of childhood obesity, in addition to being considered a different strategy with the technological resources for the evaluation of the pathology involved, real-time monitoring, storage of data, privacy and patient safety.

Embora a obesidade seja um problema de saúde pública que afeta vários grupos etários, é entre crianças e adolescentes que ela desempenha um papel mais importante, devido à complexidade do tratamento, alta probabilidade de persistência na idade adulta e associação com outras doenças não transmissíveis, ainda em idade pediátrica. A crescente prevalência de sobrepeso e obesidade em crianças em todo o mundo é um problema crítico de saúde pública que tem incentivado os governos a considerar diferentes estratégias para reduzir a obesidade na população. Embora os avanços tecnológicos possam causar alguns efeitos negativos na saúde, a nova tecnologia também tem o potencial de melhorar a saúde. A Internet das Coisas (loT) pode fornecer uma ferramenta útil para alcançar essa necessidade. O objetivo desta pesquisa se deu na criação e validação de um modelo de sistema desenvolvido para intervenção nutricional com utilização de rede IoT, para avaliar sobrepeso e obesidade em crianças e adolescentes e promover comportamentos alimentares saudáveis. Este estudo possuiu como população alvo crianças e adolescentes em risco nutricional de sobrepeso e obesidade. O estudo possuiu caráter tecnológico, experimental, qualitativo, descritivo, analítico e exploratório, sendo dividido em cinco etapas. A primeira etapa consistiu no desenvolvimento da plataforma HANIoT. A segunda etapa se deu pelo estudo técnico científico das variáveis da pesquisa. Durante a terceira etapa, houve o desenvolvimento do sistema APP Android e APP WEB (DASHBOARD). A quarta etapa compreendeu o desenvolvimento do estudo piloto e intervenção. Por fim, na quinta etapa, realizou-se a aplicação de questionário para análise descritiva da pesquisa. Com a análise dos resultados, foi identificado que o sistema tem grande potencial enquanto instrumento de prevenção e intervenção à obesidade infantil, além de ter sido considerado uma estratégia diferenciada com os recursos tecnológicos para a avaliação da patologia envolvida, monitoramento em tempo real, armazenamento dos dados, privacidade e segurança para o paciente.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação Profissional em Ciência e Tecnologia em Saúde - PPGCTSUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPChildhood ObesityInternet of ThingsMonitoringCIENCIAS DA SAUDEObesidade InfantilInternet das CoisasTecnologias IoTSistema IoT de avaliação e intervenção nutricional para detecção de sobrepeso e obesidade em crianças e adolescentesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisSouto, Sabrina FigueiredoMelo, Daniela Pita deBarbosa, Paulo Eduardo e SilvaCaldas, Winnie Isabelle Cordeiroinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBORIGINALPDF - Winnie Isabelle Cordeiro Caldas.pdfPDF - Winnie Isabelle Cordeiro Caldas.pdfPDF - Winnie Isabelle Cordeiro Caldasapplication/pdf2642344https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/da068d23-7926-4b46-a73b-0b664afa90d0/download5233969fc30a1524ee44e9de3f10d2e7MD52trueAnonymousREADTermos de Depósito BDTDTermos de Depósito BDTDTermos de Depósito BDTDapplication/pdf3318855https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/cf7f313e-56f4-4b02-af1f-14352c551b0f/downloadae47868e0a1012900c17c2e16c351824MD56falseAnonymousREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
